The JP only say 26ちゃい and ちゃい is just a childish way of saying 歳(さい) which means 'xx years old.' So why did I translate it this way? I just like older women wearing cute frilly and tight clothes mean for little girl.

The second one is this.



I asked my proofreader to make it more like a transformation spell and this is the result. It's good, that's why I use it.

Thanks for the explanation. I personally likes the original translation though since it match her uniform and I mistakenly thought Smile Magica is her mahou shoujo name.


Putting that aside, HOT DAMN THIS MANGA IS PEAKKK!!! What a cliffhanger! Cant't wait for the next chapter.

imo "The magic of smiles!!" is way better, haruna definitely would say something cheesy like that as long as its related to magical girls. Really looking forward to next chp!

Not entirely a fan of "Dazzling Mana" because it's not anywhere in the original script, but "Smile Magica" is kind of fine.

Even if she's sympathetic to their cause, I doubt someone that would willingly endorse these methods would be someone that Haruna calls a friend like this.

We last saw her at the start of chapter 1. Haruna was warped as they had just finished a battle and were being told about "a big magic crystal under their town" that needed to be destroyed to stop the monster attacks by their team mascot thing.

Haruna was warped alone, as far as we know.

From what the hero said, the other mahou shoujo were active before (or maybe simultaneously with, though I think things have been happening too quickly for the destruction of the hero's hometown to be similtaneous...) Haruna's arrival. That means the order in which they warped does not correspond to when they arrived...

We don't know if the circumstances of their warping were the same as Haruna's or not. They could have been sent over as a consequence of the attack on the "big magic crystal" under their town (or some other operation), or they could have been defeated (and gotten captured... Magical girls being brainwashed and slapped back to their senses is not uncommon in the genre), or even the mascot could be something other than it seems.

Did you…not read the final few pages that contextualises why she immediately suspected the MC (who keeps repeating that she’s a magical girl) for the attack?

I find it perfectly logical why she would suspect that, given her friend, another magical girl, was found allied with the demons…

i did, and that's fair. but she didn't know about what was happening in the throne room at that moment. she was even asking her pretty much if she couldn't just escape just moments before the attack

Ok, that’s fair, I was under the assumption that the magical girl attacks happened way before the MC arrived, therefore implanting the ideas to the locals, especially the knight, that Magical Girls = demon-kin = enemy

The kingdom knew about magical girls attacking them before this one showed up in the throne room. Remember, the hero's hometown was destroyed not by just "a demon" but "a magical girl"

This reveal is Haruna and the reader finding out that the attacker is someone she knows, but the locals have been under attack from them for a while.
