After refining and QCing my translations for this chapter, I realized that my rough draft is me in my Japanese brain, so like every instance of Lilisa and Alice was typed out Ririsa and Arisu. There's a chance that I might miss them, so if that ever happens, please tell me so I can fix them lol.

I'm so hopeful that this is the real Tadashi Suzunomiya and that he well and truly loves his wife/Lilisa's mother.
Everything in that moment at the end of this chapter points to this being the case, and I'm sure I'm just overly worrisome about it being some sort of fake out. But it'd be fantastic if he just thumbed his nose at "noble blood nonsense" that all those others were spouting and truly did just love his wife and stepdaughter.
Especially as Alice has turned the corner and she and Lilisa get along so well now. Them being a loving family feels like it'd be so healing--especially given Lilisa's recent worries about being 'Found Out'. Having actual support in her corner back at home from more than just her little sister would be a good emotional bulwark.
But, I'm also hopeful that Lilisa will eventually find the courage to be honest with Otoha, Tina, and Shiraya. It doesn't have to happen immediately--and in a sense, it's good, the fewer people who know. Even if they're all trustworthy, it's still more chances for the truth to slip out.
But she will need to be 100% honest sooner or later, or things will get harder the longer she keeps up the lie.

Thanks for the TL. Wonderful work as always.

To despise your stepmother...and at the same time consider her daughter your legitimate older sister. Wome...ahem, oujo-sama moment.

"The wicked stepdad we've been hearing about for six volumes is actually just a chill guy who loves his wife" would be a hilarious counterpunch on genre conventions and I really hope they go with it.
Honestly, he's so ikemen and young that at first I thought he was just a random guy or something like an evil cousin. Unusual for a predominantly all-female yuri bait story.

Following the usual narrative logic of this manga, I expect her confession to come across as a metaphor of coming out of the closet, lmao.

Imagine if Lily and co played Canon Rock for Alice in the future, would be nice

it seems like he's not really a wicked stepdad, and, honestly, he hasn't really been set up that much like that. it's just that his entire family are terrible people.

There's a small, common error on page 22, panel 5. "You're" should be spelled "Your" in this instance.

Thanks so much for continuing to bring this fun manga to us!
Thanks! One of the things I liked back when I subbed videos was that I could ctrl+f "you're" and "your" and "their" "they're" "there" to check the entire script because I inevitably always do the wrong one for some reason. It's like a curse.

I suspected that the stress on the mother was more on the extended family and not the father. After all, why marry her if he didn't care for her. Granted, he could still be a jerk but so far there is no evidence of that. Either way it is good to get back to the imposter syndrome part of the story. Haven't seen much of it for a while.

Yeah definitely feels this ridiculous harassment is at the core of lilisa's issues more than anything her step father has done. But it makes her feel like she has to adhere to that standard. You can even see a bit of it with her relationship with her sister though that is softening

Why's her mother called “Rika” in one page and “Yuka” in the rest?

I think what actually ends up happening is even better, FWIW. Don't forget that Alice is an accomplished musician in her own right.

It's honestly pretty expected. Getting a new sister can be exciting, but having your own mother be REPLACED is not.
to be fair, she also treated lilisa like that until lilisa was able to show her that there was more to her than what she assumed.
This doesn't change the fact that she needs to, to put it mildly, make up her mind, because you can't run around your new older sister and despise her mother at the same time.

I don't quite understand why you hid this under a spoiler. The manga has never been subtle about this; even this chapter directly mentions that she plays the violin.
