To me, it started going downhill ever since the ‘ex’ got introduced ( and I doubt author did it for nothing.. he's getting screen time later fs ) It’s just I doubt this end up with a ‘happy ending’, and as MC is 'dumb' asf, which allows author to spin more bs drama anytime.. more baits incoming and even some endgame scenarios that I already have in mind.

Maybe I'm wrong and this is a wholesome manga, maybe something is going on in the raws but I’m tired of this troupe so bad that I lost interest in trusting this author to cook~

It's going to be another Kuroneko / Domekano spoilers Rui situation- at best. Maybe MC dates her for couple of chapters, they break up off-panel for some weird reason, yadayada, MC realize he actually prefers brunettes over the blondes. At worst, Senpai gets tired of waiting for his insecure ass to come around, or MC fumbles her yet AGAIN.

If, and that's an IF, author actually has balls to pull it off, and make Senpai win this and be the focus of the series... I'll be damned, that will be the first time I'll be pleasantly surprised by this sort of series. I'll be happy I was wrong and I will never doubt this author can cook. So far it takes him 7 bussiness days to even turn on the stove. We'll see what happens next.

And I want to clarify, even if I am a bit annoyed by this whole situation, manga like this can not exist without the drama, plus I am very entertained by the art, the emotions, and Senpai. So in no way I think the series is bad or mediocre, it's quite nice.
