You know one thing I always wonder about these ratio stories is how the hell the population survives. For a species to have a stable population at minimum they need to have a birth average of 2.2. For a population with this large of a gender ratio they would need a birth average of 100.2 meaning that every woman would need to give birth to a hundred children minimum for there to be a stable population. Any species with such large gender ratio would very quickly go extinct unless there is some unique strategy which allows them to make up for it.
That would be the case if the women were in the minority, but since the population is almost entirely women they only need to birth a bit more than one child on average. It's the men who would need to sire 100 kids each, which is significantly easier.

Fear not paint.net brethren. Both look good. I feel people sleep on PDN, but it's a very capable program.
The game Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling was drawn in PDN.

I used PDN to make the environments for chapter 6 of a Paper Mario visual mod:

I have been redrawing from Paint.net, and fire-alpaca for coloring. It's small and simple, works in many ways.

I’ve had a similar discussion in another manga, but we didn’t reach a conclusion. The ratio problem will only be a problem if we’re talking about a monogamous world. Because in a monogamous world, this would force women to have many children per woman. In this manga’s case, to keep the population going, we’re talking about having 100 kids per woman, which is obviously impossible.

But if we’re talking about a polygamous world, then it’s enough for women to have just one child, but the man would have to have 100 wives. Or the man could have 10 wives and all of them have 10 kids, which would be plausible.

A third possibility is this world being monogamous, but where some kind of disaster wiped out a large part of the men on the planet, whether through war, disease, or something like that.

In the end, I came to the conclusion that the best thing is to just turn your brain off at times like this and just enjoy the story without thinking too much about the details.

The main reason I switched to Krita is, that with Paintdotnet you can’t do any text leading. That and some other unnecessary things.

He's rescued. Yay.

I guess they gotta joke about how far this is from an Otome game setting. But it's not too far from an Eroge setting.

Thanks for the scanlation.

One way it could work in this story is a pseudo-monogamous union, where the man marries a single woman, the head of her family, and she gets control over her husband's sexuality. So she can 'lend' him to other women for reproduction, like her relatives to ensure everyone in her family get a chance to have descendants, or women from other families in exchange for favors or to make political connections.
Or at least that's how it would work amongst nobility. Commoners would probably have no chance of anything resembling a normal marriage, with the men forced to work in brothels and the women having to save for years just to hire a prostitute for a small chance of getting pregnant.
