This is a fun premise but I feel like they don't know where to go with it.
I mean, the bees are a clear metaphor for kids (that are missing in actual real-life Japan).
They try to make things, not-quite talk, are fans of over-the-top monsters, keep company for lonely grandmas in the candy shops in the countryside (where the parallel is drawn explicitly).
So this series can continue pretty indefinitely simply going on all the stories of "this cute thing my kid did when aged somewhere between two and five".
