The creator must be:
"Damn, I love meat so much, but I need to eat another so I can be healty and I can't to rely only on meat. But damn, I'm so sick at wishing meat Ah, I have an idea! Why don't I make it by myself?! "
A celebration to @sterven 's return.

(I know there are far more lewder ones than this but I don't want to get banned bruh, I have manga chapters I want to upload still)
Horizon is really great so far, probably one of my favorite Trails games so far. It's just that it's a bad place to start at for a newcomer since it's at the end of an arc so you would be pretty confused, especially with all the returning characters from the previous arcs.

It's part of an over-aching story, yeah. I know it's a big ask with how much time it will take, but the full series is amazing if you do play it in order. But if that's too much, then pick an arc that interest you and stick with it.
There's some descriptions I don't agree with in this image (like Van being a detective, he's not, he's a spriggan), but it's the graphic I have found that has up to date stuff about the latest game.
I've eaten a lot of frozen yogurt cones from Braums in my life, so yes. AND when you mix the right fruits and the right yogurt at home, it is wonderful SO OF COURSE good.

lmao at how tiny they made Kevin. at least it looks like he has a big part in the most recent game.
@Mangamoz the best way to play is definitely locking yourself in a dark room and playing them in arc order for days on end (what's also nice is that the Crossbell arc just got an official localization a few years ago (there was only a fan translation before that)). i've only played the first two arcs but i loved them, and i'll have to play the rest of the series sometime in the future.
@BakedBanana have you played the Sora no Kiseki remaster? given that the SC remaster isn't out yet (but it will be in September) and there's no official confirmation that a 3rd Chapter remake will come out (as apparently they are considering moving straight to Zero), would you recommend playing the remaster over the original?
It would be weird not to. The 3rd game is pretty much an epilogue to both the main characters, and a setup for the future installments. I would even say it's one of the most important games to play to understand some stuff that gets referenced even in the newest game. But I can see why they would be hesitant on doing it, with how dark the game can get (Star Door 15. If you know, you know..). But my best guess is they'll probably censor tone down that scene in the remaster, like how they did when they mentioned it in Daybreak II.
And if anything, I think out of all games that need a remake, it would be Cold Steel 1 and 2. Have you seen how bad the graphics have aged compared to all the other games?
Hmm, that would be a difficult question to answer. Obviously I haven't played them yet so I can't tell you on that front. But from what I've seen from knowing that they are using the newest engine, it's probably a good choice. Plus there is finally voice acting for the English, before with EVO, we only had the Japanese voices. And the remaster music is quite nice too.
The original:
The Evo version:
The Remaster:
But I will always have a soft spot for the OG, it had a certain charm that even the remake doesn't seem to capture.
Plus it didn't have anything special like how all the future installments had, so it was quite hard on higher difficulties.
yeah makes sense. the first does seem to have gotten great reviews tho, so i might consider playing it eventually (after catching up with the newer releases) whereas i otherwise probably wouldn't since i've already played the Sky trilogy.

could definitely be updated with higher resolution textures, but it looks totally fine to me as is. sort of early ps3 vibes. as long as it runs at 60fps on my toaster, i'm sure i'll enjoy them.

i didn't even know about the EVO fan patches that added voice acting when i played the Sky trilogy lol. and i used japanese voices for the Crossbell arc (and probably will for the future games too. i think the state of game voice acting in English isn't as jarring as the difference between subbed and dubbed anime (with anime i can hardly listen to it half the time. how do normies watch that shit?)).
some fights were basically impossible without guides. i do miss the 'developers didn't thoroughly playtest the hardest difficulty' aspect about old jrpgs (and games in general)

Maybe, but I could never go back to Cold Steel 1 and 2 after going to the newest games, very unlike Sky and Crossbell which have aged well. Well at least it isn't the vita version of Cold Steel, that one didn't even have a turbo button, imagine going through the Nord Highlands with no turbo button.

I like them both, but I can see why you would say that with how the new version is louder, it really messes with the tone. By the way, have you heard the preview song for Shrine of Adios that was shown on the official website? I think it's quite nice.

Doing Loewe fight with Estelle, Kloe, and Schera on the hardest difficulty sure was something.. And don't get me started on the fight against the Steel Maiden in the Crossbell arc, probably still the most difficult boss battle I've done in the Trails series.

i remember seeing a video of Cold Steel where the extra english voice lines were copied into the game (the lines that weren't voiced in japanese), so some girl says a bunch of shit in japanese to Rean and he just responds "Okay!" in clear eglish

i remember having a lot more difficulty with Loewe in SC than Arianrhod in Azure. the Arianrhod fight was really just super long (i played Nightmare of course) and could only be reliably won by huddling three peeps in the back and keeping buffs constantly applied. also Arianrhod is a super cute hag and i was really sad to learn that she dies in Cold Steel (i'll never forgive myself for spoiling myself like that. and it's not one of those spoilers i'll eventually forget either.)

Ah, I used that strategy too. I think I also had to look up a YouTube video for that fight because of how difficult it was. But if I remember right, for the first real Loewe fight, I made Schera and Kloe my support and went full on attack with Estelle crafts.

yeah i tried to find it but couldn't. it was definitely linked in a reddit comment section on r/Falcom somewhere. the only one i found even remotely similar just mentioned that it was possible to copy over the extra english voice files and play with japanese dub + english dub (only for the unvoiced jap files)
