They're manipulating the MC into having sex with Touko so that she's get pregnant and "give birth" to their dad. The MC is basically an unfortunate pawn for their plan. And later chapters revealed that other men of the same characteristics as MC have been scouted, though the MC is the only successful one so far.

Do we know why he's the only successful one so far?

This manga is literally just how long can we keep a terrible feeling in the pit of our readers stomach without progressing the story at all

The whole family arc served to alienate him from his family to further isolate him and rekindle his desire for a child. Now this arc serves as an excuse for Touko to get all touchy-feely with him and make him express his commitment to her. If you don’t see the story progressing, maybe you should work a bit on your media literacy…

hm, have we seen that coworker before? Kinda weird for her to stare and be all like "..." even if it's uncommon for a father to pick up their daughter i don't think it should've been that odd

I'm not really following the manipulation stuff, I just see a step-Papa protecting his daughter going through some stuff. They both seem to honestly love him and he loves them.

Legit this series feels like an experiment to slander characters by doing nothing except change art style when drawing said characters.

Did you really forget the whole thing with Yurika? Planting condoms inside her bag to provoke her mom and then live streaming it all? Did you forget how Miyako had a whole file of infos about Hiroto before even meeting him and then pretending to make acquaintances by chance? Did you miss how Touko clearly lies to her friend about not knowing the ex-papa?
