"Some" is basically guaranteed based on probability alone, but the author still glosses over just how much chaos it would be to have an educational reform of this sort, lead by what is some child savant to the public eye.

Yeah, it amazes me that no one points out all the little "extras" the MC sneaks into the story. Like how to build oxygen tanks. Not something you'd learn as a pharmacology major... Then again, neither is surgery and a host of other stuff he casually treads in.

To test it require cases and those are unpredictable to when it will happen especially when are beginning to adopt sanitation procedures and protocols which reduce those chances.

Most medicines took decades to be approved and decades more to see the effectiveness. Same thing here but since there are a lot of those among others in the book 200 years is an acceptable estimate especially when put into account the reason why modern testing and development is fast because of technology and change of attitude (1800 to 1900 there are still doctors not want change or adopt new tech and procedures) .

I count that head court physician old and imporant enough to be an old beard. He's as old as the MC's father, more or less, I reckon. If he was a nobody, then maybe he wouldn't qualify, but he's certainly an authority.

Actually it's should not that long, it would be 200 years if they start from scratch but with excellence "map" they just need to verify which is far easier. I think there is only one things that beyone their time, the electron microscope.They can verify other things without modern equipments except virus.
