★ Fumika’s mom receives a military draft letter addressed to Fumika. She’s confused since the alien war should already be over. Fumika doesn’t dare ask Takashi because she doesn’t want him to go back to war. (Backstory: Fumika has always been by Takashi’s side since birth, same hospital, same schools, she feels like she can’t live without him. When Takashi was sent to war, she almost broke down but tried to stay strong to welcome him back. Rinko shut herself in, Renji turned delinquent, and Fumika slowly helped them recover.)
★ Fumika’s mom calls the Earth Defense Department about the letter. They explain it’s for people over 25 to eliminate leftover aliens. Fumika says she’s only 16, and they apologize and recheck. But somehow, they claim she’s still eligible and ask her mom to meet them to “cancel” it by exposing military secrets. Fumika gets suspicious when she’s told not to leave the house.
★ Fumika keeps telling Takashi she’s fine, hiding her fear, but the stress makes her accidentally send a help message. A few minutes later, Takashi suddenly appears at her window. After hearing everything, he feels something’s off since he never got any info about this, and all aliens should already be gone. When Fumika’s mom comes back, she looks desperate to transfer money. Takashi immediately realizes it’s a scam taking advantage of post-war conditions.
★ Takashi gets seriously pissed and tells her to hold off reporting to the police because he wants to handle it himself. He uses Type E (Eira) to mimic her voice, gets Shely (Type M Marl) to track the scammers, and Natalie (Type G Grace) to check how many people are there. When the scammers insult Fumika and her mom, Takashi’s anger goes off the charts. After the call ends, he uses Leafa to force-teleport them in front of him. They panic, get thrown into the sky, end up traumatized, kneeling and begging for forgiveness, promising to return all the money, then Takashi drags them straight to the police.
