🥀 I honestly do spend too much time on the series, so didn’t wanna back out anymore plus it almost ending so why not go all out with the remaining story consider I read both the Novel & the Manhua itself. Plus it just once a week so not much time needed. I been reading it since January 2022 while discussing with a friend through novel knowledge since I got curious seeing spoilers so I tried to find the novel to read it follow by knowing when raws will come out from Bilibi chinese app

See as interesting as it is I do think it gets a bit complicated especially when the Manhua also makes Ji Bai appear as a sorta of separate character from Bai Ji

Originally I got into this series through the Manhau so started checking at the novel but it also makes me wonder if the Manhau overcomplicate Ji Bai a little bit by separating him somewhat from Bai Ji

Not really just that the first time Ji bai got the sword after becoming Bai Ji the Queen of the Vampires after asking the dwarf who made it to repair it, turn red it was being aggressive toward vampires as Bai Ji until he transform into Ji Bai, and in later arc as Bai jin discovered a Gulan tomb with a Blue Hair Elf Girl which upgraded her sword from red to purple and with a spirit talking to her follow by the sword making Bai Jin look more like Bai Ming by giving her boobs from flat chest, if you recall let me grab the link to that chapter if I can find the exact chapter
Edit: I check the old chapters The Sword used to be red on Bai Jin’s Necklace before becoming Purple This is the chapter where they found the gulan tomb chapter 307 As you can see her necklace is red that where the sword is Ending page of this chapter is where the purple sword spirit appear chapter 308, Chapter 309 is where the 2 sword fused and Bai Jin got the purple sword with the spirit guiding her, and also Chapter 311 this is the chapter where Bai Jin officially use the purple sword & transform get a body change that I mention

Honestly I haven’t gotten too far in the novel yet but I do find some of the changes interesting or the stuff that got cut

I think the biggest thing outside the Ji Bai and Bai Ji thing is just how much they toned down Ji Bai personality in the Manhua
