solid second chapter.
Interesting that we're opening up the plot to immediately expand beyond the "half-siblings" facet of what was established in the first chapter. It makes perfect sense, given the apparent place of prestige and affluence his late father enjoyed--any "legitimate family" that suddenly had a secret child thrust upon them like this would be skeptical at best, and I suspect that more secrets will come to the surface that potentially trump even his existence.
The two of them dancing around what they built in their first meeting seems like something that might carry on for awhile, before anything heats up between them. At least that's my expectation, though Suzu's expression and behavior at the tail end does indicate that their "first impression" of one another will be rather sticky when it comes to their new shared life in the same house. I kinda hope that we do get more than just the two of them fumbling, in the end, especially given the expansive supporting cast in the rest of his father's family and all of the delightful personalities we're already seeing. But I expect Naoomi and Suzu will remain front and center, and likely they'll be teaming up to navigate whatever murky waters surround this family & estate.
Thanks for the TL. The "mystery" tag definitely has me intrigued.
