I'm not understanding how they're renovating the home ... I thought both of them were financially struggling, or at least not well off? Even despite all the work you try to do yourself, there will inevitably be a lot of things that you cannot do since they're not a general contractor that has experience in all aspects of home renovating and building. They'll have to hire professionals for things like electrical, plumbing, and so on. These things are not cheap. I love the romance and other slice of life portions of this, but the entire manga being centered on the premise of renovation, it does make it weird that they're able to do all of this despite not being financially well off. And despite the fact that the premise is centered around renovation, they're blitzing through the renovation so quickly in a single chapter and not even going into the details of home renovation and building.
Yeah we're gonna run of stuff to renovate rather quickly at this rate....unless she is gonna renovate that heart

Remember that girl you liked?
Y'know, that girl you had around your neighborhood when you were about 6-10 years old
Remember how you liked being around her
How she made you feel special
Made your heart throb at some point
You probably didn't even realize the feelings you had for her
You weren't necessarily close with her
But you always wanted to get to know her better
You do?!
Great!!!
Now forgot about her
She ain't coming back
She already forgot about you
That girl ain't coming to fix your life
She isn't coming to give you that "what if" love life you always wanted
Give up on the illusion of her saving you
The only person who can save you is you
I have a childhood friend who is a tomboy with a short, boyish haircut
She lived with her grandmother in the house behind mine, and we went to the same kindergarten.
But after that, her parents got divorced and she moved to a different school to live with her mom, so we rarely got to play together anymore.

Still, occasionally she would visit her grandmother, and we could hang out again.
She would always ride her black BMX bike over to my house.
Sometimes we would just chat and joke around, and other times she would ask me to play pretend and be her hair salon customer.
There was even a time she asked me to walk her to her cram school and promised to pay me for it (lol).

However, our friendship drifted apart when her mother remarried.
She rarely visited her grandmother's house after that, and we hardly saw each other again.
Even though there was a time we crossed paths at her relative's wedding, we just exchanged glances and nodded without a single word coming out of our mouths.
A few years passed, I moved to another area, and I never saw her again

One day, another childhood friend of mine (who was also from the same kindergarten) told me that he went to the same high school as her. I asked for her Instagram, and my friend gave it to me.

When I looked at her profile, I was a little surprised and felt a wave of nostalgia.
She hadn't changed at all! she still kept her tomboy style and short haircut.
She was active in a band and always involved in church activities.

But I was too much of a coward to hit the 'follow' button, let alone try to DM her. :nyoron:

This reads like something created by an author who watched a bit of videos showcasing Japanese home building/renovating trade. Where a guy can renovate whole floor in like a seemingly single day, but you forget its a video, heavily edited one, and dude has like a whole crew behind him/camera helping him with shit.

But also manga just about home renovating would be to little tropes thrown into it, the romance/dark past/drama/etc was added and that one also feels rushed/skimmed over surface/or how you would say it.

I just hope it will somehow get good at least one of those things?
