Guy wasn’t a great father, and he knows it. But at the end of the day, he’s not so terrible of a parent that father and daughter need to burn their bridges like that. After all, I don’t think it’s very often that parent and child can bond over a shared passion like this. (Or maybe that’s just my family…)

And hey, maybe Gunpla will help him recover from his gambling addiction, in the same way that addicts sometimes recover by getting addicted to something else. His financial situation certainly ain’t recovering, though.
