almost certainly. Even today older doctors sometimes struggle to adapt to new treatments/procedures because they’re used to what they’ve been using for decades. or if you want a more historical example, John snow categorically proved the existence of germs and despite His evidence, he was loudly mocked by the entire scientific community for years as his findings went against the prevalent theory of the time.I wonder if there will be conflict with people who spent their life learning the old system and have trouble with the new one.
Oh and the reliance on animal dissection is also true as dissecting actual corpses was considered taboo. In fact the prominent medical textbook in England for over a century was written by a man who had never dissected an actual person and just based his findings on animal corpses.
