Only thing we need now is for Reira to "get interested" in Yumiri (whether to get back at Tsukasa, or for her own sake), while Yumiri is still after Yuki and Yuki is sitting there like "well Tsukasa said she doesn't feel anything and I don't either so this arrangement is fine".

personally just think this particular series is a bit unfocused and dry plotwise.

there's no urgency or stakes in the way the girls are "cheating" imho which makes this less thrilling?

Then there isn't too much of a "Hook" IMO. If you're writing about complex topics concerning cheating, and angst, and love polygons, what makes this one more interesting than the other one next door i.e. "My girlfriend is not here today" would be my train of thought.

You haven't gotten to the hook yet. But also, this is an adaptation of a novel, which from what I've read, the Manga has already skipped a bunch of stuff. You're better off just reading that if you want to get the best experience of the story.
