I am curious, why akira is the only one that not join in the group bath? are they know that akira is ex-male or is just akira that don't wanna to join the goup bath
The teachers are probably covering up for her and telling the others that she has a medical condition or whatever that would prevent her from bathing together with the others. And Akira herself does not want to join both because of her reservations of being male once, and perhaps because of her being conscious of her own condition and how others might see her. Rumi's comment a couple chapters ago when she called Akira a pervert for suggesting they bathe together probably doesn't help either

This chapter felt really different. The gag manga-esque panels probably had a lot to do with it. Not 100% certain it matches or synergizes well with the somber tone I'm used to seeing, but it is good seeing the kids just having fun doing kid young adult things.

The cute is definitely coming through at the end there--the girls do great work :win:

I love how the presence of someone with the disease who keeps on living as a boy gives A-chan's choice meaning. So many gender-bender stories leave open the reading that whatever changes their bodies also changes their minds, and any way in which they embrace femininity isn't an authentic choice. But here, A-chan knows she could live as a boy, she even feels pressured to tone down her femininity in the last page, but instead she steps in up because, deep down, that's who she is.

Yeah, i have the same opinion as you, but it just make me more curios, why she get different treatment, it kinda sad to see that she have to do this, she is not a transgender, she have a real female body, she can't do this all the time, it only make other people asking about her more because of it, and you know she can't do this all the time, she will definitely going to go to same gender bath after swimming or when she don't have warm water in her house(like some manga or anime plot story), so that why this plot only makes me wonder why she get this treatment, this plot only add more pressure to her mental
