I don't know why people don't understand my view, i know that her gender is getting changed but why people still identify her as transgender when her gender changed medically/biology? The transgender that i know is people that trying to identify them self as different gender or species, in this manga her body is changed medically because of a disease and she want to accept her new body.
Please I'm begging you, I need you to look up the definition of transgender in any dictionary.

Some examples

Merriam Webster: of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity differs from the sex the person was identified as having at birth

Oxford English Dictionary: Designating a person whose sense of personal identity and gender does not correspond to that person's sex at birth, or which does not otherwise conform to conventional notions of sex and gender.

Wikipedia (not technically a dictionary): A transgender (often shortened to trans) person has a gender identity different from that typically associated with the sex they were assigned at birth.

I already looked up the meaning about it on internet before answering that btw, i even asked an AI for more details and they confirmed my perspective on akira is correct, the definition of transgender that you showing to me even saying that the person need to sense and identify their gender as opposite of their original gender from birth, maybe akira look like transgender from that perspective but at the same time her gender literally change without her consent because of disease, she literally trying to adapting her new body not like transgender that their body not feel like the gender that they want to be, they even attempt to alter their own bodies to resemble the gender they desire, even though those bodies will not function like the gender they desire, and now look at akira, her body literally function, even though her gender not the same gender as she get when she was born, she still accept her own body without trying to replace or modify it.

You know what, with that perspective story with genre isekai or reincarnated will look like transgender story if the mc getting reborn or get new body as a female
