So, I like the slow buildup as much as anyone here, but it is starting to feel like we are just going to be kept right on the edge of them almost realizing their feelings for the entire manga.

I can actually see this manga ending without either one of them ever making a move.
i think they'll share their feelings but won't date, i can see an moving to go to a better school since she is so smart

This along with megane are probably one of the cutest examples of budding love from Manga I read.
W for mentioning megane. One of the few mangas I liked from the start to end. I even watched the anime even though I usually never watch any

Ughhhh didnt expect this chapter to dredge up my memories of just staring at a girl while saying nothing and flaking out nonetheless. Dont worry shunpei weve all been there
😭 so true. This series reminds me a bit too much about myself😭😭😭

Luluca doing her best to hold back with her curiosity on this springtime of youth unfolding before her. The girl is a saint. Also adorable.

Loved the chapter, as always. This author is really good at those little moments of silence filled with meaning.

I hear where you're coming from, but I feel like for Futari Bus the stops and starts are more intrinsic than extrinsic. In other romcoms (and I hesitate to call this a romcom, since it lacks a lot of com to the rom) Shunpei and An would have had
1) no moment since Luluca was there, while here she was present, but out of focus and busy with herself;
2) an externally interrupted moment when her school friends came over while he was still there, leading to supposed misunderstandings and teasing and drama, while here Shunpei interrupted the the moment since he became self-conscious of his gaze.

This is just an example, and I feel like a lot of the burn comes from the interactions between these two, as they circle each other and come to know each other on the other side of the maturity gap that separates kids from teens.

I agree that the interactions are nice. It just feels like each chapter is the same of them almost feeling something but not really.

Zeno’s paradox is real. We asymptotically approach a limit in every decreasing increments, until we take a step back and realise we’re moving normally and our focus just shifted our perception.
