why would it turn to stone when its cooked but not when it died?
i mean sure from a logical stand point, the eyes may have some sort of fluid/lense that causes almost alchemy-like reaction to flesh when more than 1 eyes locks onto target, but that chicken clearly aint one that can turn ppl to stone, or else thatd be its ambushing move instead of a drop kick that everyone can see plain as daylight
