Even with the sister there we still know nothing about the deceased husband not even a sprinkle of info As expected they'll just drag out this plot line for 60+ chapters until then to get information about what couldve possibly happened. On the other hand I hope we get more moments with the female manga artist and otakei I really want to see a romantic relationship form between them

It's still vague as to whether Tsubaki is responsible for her husband's death or if his family resents her for some other reason. The sister clearly has conflicting feelings about her, though she's putting up that front and keeping Tsubaki at arm's length all the same. Whether that's to appease her parents/family, remains to be seen.

Otakei having to grapple with the notion that overcoming himself to achieve his goal seems like it'll be the core of his character arc, then. Drawing on one's experiences when drawing, writing, or even composing is a pretty well-trod path for the creative individual, so getting over the Past Cringe and embarrassment of his past & memories would be a good idea, given it's all fuel to pull from in getting his debut. Especially as they're not remotely singular sentiments, and thus would be intimately relatable for potential readers (even if the names and places are different, everyone's got shit they'd like to forget to some degree).

Tsubaki will likely factor into that by becoming/re-assuming the position of his cheerleader, while dealing with the fallout of her husband's death and the struggles surrounding her in-laws. I presume the two of them will help one another through all of this, but this has the potential to get rather heavy, even with the light touch of comedy and the clear ecchi elements.
Finding that balance and keeping the pacing will be key.

Looking at these comments and rereading this chapter it made me think how this is one of the weirdest romance mangas ever written I dont want to beat a dead horse but it really does feel cuckish: like an amalgamation of cheating and cucking. instead of the what you expect from a romance manga where the male lead and female lead get to know each other and eventually learn to love each other later down the line its the female lead sulking over a dead ex and the male lead likes the female lead but she doesnt shes still not over her ex and the male lead is a cope for her ex. It feels like cheating on the deceased husbands part because his life was taken away from him and she sees male mc as him and it feels like cucking because female mc is just seeing her deceased husband in male mc she doesnt like him its just a cope for her. now i know it makes sense since cuz shes drunk and all but im viewing it from a meta-perspective, like im placed in the author shoes and im making writing decisions anyway it does intrigue me to keep reading this and i like the fan service too, thank you for the translation

Looks like she was interested in him in some sort of way in high school and it just didn't happen then & that's the reason why she's interested in him now. Yeah, she's clearly not over her husband and likely wouldn't be into Otakei if he were alive, but the manga seems to be presenting it as an alternate pathway rather than second choice.

Or the author is setting up a direct parallel with Otakei and creating manga, wherein they both took detours and need to find their way back and both detour and return are important for their growth.
