I almost didn’t make this post because neither the series nor the author are worth our time or money (thankfully, MangaDex exists).

Like I said in the previous chapter discussion, there isn’t really a redemption path for Sakura without turning Shinobu into the story’s punching bag. And this chapter only reinforces that idea with the timeskip, which exists solely to avoid a confrontation between Sakura and Shinobu (if it ever happens). It’s also completely absurd because, during all those months, neither Shinobu nor Sakura even tried to contact each other. I’m no expert in human behavior, but if you’re reading this, you’ve probably gone through a breakup or even lost a close friend before. When that happens, you usually want to know why things ended. Here, there’s absolutely none of that. It’s as if the previous 129 chapters meant absolutely nothing and had no emotional weight whatsoever. I mean, throughout all those months, Sakura never once wanted to know why Shinobu, the guy who had done so much for her, was kissing another girl? She just moved on as if nothing had happened? I wish I had that kind of ability to detach myself from people lol.

As for Shinobu, you can tell it meant something to him because he spends months dwelling on it, even coping by telling himself that as long as Sakura is happy, that’s enough for him. Meanwhile, Sakura makes it feel like she just changed socks and moved on without a single ounce of guilt or regret. Like I said before, it’s as if everything they went through together meant absolutely nothing to her. She sends a breakup text and immediately moves on. And like someone else said (sorry dude, I forgot your username…), it honestly feels like she never loved Shinobu in the first place.

I don’t actually think that’s what the author intended, but as a reader, that’s genuinely the impression you get. Shinobu comes across as much more human and far better written in comparison, whereas Sakura feels like she’s being forced to act this way purely to milk the drama and drag out their breakup.

This chapter also brings some people back to reality, especially those expecting Sakura to face karma. I wouldn’t say it was guaranteed, but considering the author’s track record, I would’ve been more surprised if Sakura had actually faced the consequences of her actions.

In the end, it’s empty drama. It’s painfully forced drama farming, and this is where the author’s limitations really show. In her doujins, she’s free to do whatever she wants, especially with NTR stories, which are often built on absurd premises anyway. Stuff like, “If you want your husband to get a promotion, you’ll have to sleep with me,” or “You own a sex toy? If you don’t want your neighbors finding out you masturbate, sleep with me.” The characters have to act irrationally, otherwise there’s no story to tell, and those stories usually rely far more on the artwork than the writing.

The problem is that this is a weekly manga. Even if readers enjoy a bit of spice, they’re ultimately here for the story. And when the author isn’t capable of handling that side of things, it becomes painfully obvious and ends up killing the series—exactly what’s happening here.
Honestly really well said.
Had the arc concluded with Shinobu managing to reach out to Sakura before she crossed the line, the manga could very well have ended. As it's been said multiple times before, what can you do when you throw away the entire premise of the manga?

When it comes to Shinobu not contacting Sakura. He believes it's out of her wishes since it was hammered by Yuma that she doesn't want to see him. Hence his single response of "Understood". Should Shinobu have tried to reach out? Sure, but he's not that kind of person. He said it himself, despite what Sakura did he thinks this is best for her when it comes to her career. Which is sad to hear but his way of coping. Sadly we don't know how Sakura has been handling these months aside from clearly having some sex (we don't even see her face in that panel and she's just lying there).

However, I think Sakura is slowly facing consequences. As we see, she's only getting a side roll in a TV drama. Whereas Shinobu is directing movies. One that's gone international with Fumi getting a higher status than Sakura when it comes to being an actress.

Sakura.. never pushed things on her own. It was Shinobu that pushed to get Sakura into the roles that she did.
That internet fan contest.
The Island Arc.
That movie with the girls where she was almost taken advantage of by the director.
Even the set where she met Yuma.
She never pushed to get into these roles. It was Shinobu who worked hard to try and make connections and get her out there. Now? As others have pointed out, tt seems like her career is stagnant. She's not elevating. Sure she's getting roles but in JP shows are nothing compared to movies. They say she's having success but it doesn't seem like it. Shinobu is the one that's already making movies.

This is why we really want to see things from her perspective.. just hold off on the sex with Yuma. We've seen enough of it already. But yea, this author is having a hard time because she genuinely thought 129 would have elevated the manga but it only made it worse. Now at this point it's just damage control and trying to salvage something out of this.

There is a path for Sakura to redeem herself. What she did was still wrong, but an opportunity to at least grow as a character and own up to her mistake. It's just a matter of if they actually go in this direction.

Well now this is an interesting jp comment that makes you think

I think this episode was a contrast between Shinobu, who seized an opportunity and moved forward, and Sakura, who escaped into sex and remained stagnant. On the surface, it seems like both are making progress, but Shinobu is moving forward with his own talent, while Sakura is only getting a boost from the power of her agency. The director of the erotic special effects said something ominous: "Katsuragi is the type to immerse himself." In other words, he is still not good at acting out things he has no experience with. When the freshness boost wears off, if he hasn't grown on his own, he will undoubtedly hit a wall. Moreover, the new agency is a sweet environment for Sakura, who is superficially comfortable, so if she is late in realizing this, it will be a bottomless pit from which there is truly no return.

It would be a funny twist if the last panel that had sex scenes was actually showing Sakura with 3 different men across different times, my only bs proof, there's only one pillow and what if the room is actually not fuckboi's room from 129 but a special favors room designated by the agency.

That would make a lot of sense honestly.

I’ve been saying the same exact thing. Romcom suggests that the MC has to succeed. Romcoms tend to have three endings:

Romantic Resolution (In this case, bad case scenario): Sakura dumps Ikeman, Shinobu dumps Fumi. Sakura and Shinobu reconcile and try things again.

Side Character Resolution (In this case, the best case scenario): If the story develops Shinobu/Fumi more convincingly than Sakura and Shinobu. It’s likely, irregardless of whether Shinobu and Sakura met, they may reconcile but they won’t get back together. Fumi wins.

Bittersweet Resolution (In this case, the worst case scenario): NTR Airi strikes again. Fumi gets taken or Shinobu rejects her, Sakura drifts off to the sunset with Ikeman. MC is all alone. We get Sakura’s downfall, in contrast to MC’s rise. Everyone grows individually. MC gets the Karami Zakari treatment with an NPC wife and the audience left pissed off wishing that MC achieved more romantically than an NPC.

Romcom has to provide a romantic satisfaction to the reader. How she plans to redeem Sakura in the eyes of the reader audience, we don’t know (I don’t even think she will). How she plans to make Fumi endgame? We don’t know. Will Fumi do a Sakura. We don’t know. Only thing certain is MC has to win.

That’s why it irks me when people compare this to Karami Zakari. KZ is purely an NTR romance drama. Romance can have a varied amount of endings. GraPara is a NTR Romcom. Romcom is limited to a good ending all the time.
To be real here I think it's best if we just ignore the tags the author sure has as for Sakura well we don't really know to much about what she is doing other than getting fuck her line since the break up have been nothing but sex sounds so we don't know what she is thinking. The problem for the author is most readers do not care as to what she is thinking because well with the way everything was written she isn't important to the story any longer it's really hard to she her getting back into shinobu's life in any meaningful way and most don't want her to. As for her success she has landed one drama that probably has more to due with her agency that her and we don't yet aging know how that's even going we just know she is in it for all we know she could be having a hard time on that front. But if Katsura Airi is just going to let her off the hook scout free then can you even see her coming back into the story in a meaningful way at all because I can't.

We'll definitely see Shinobu's response to Fumi confession in the next chapter, the script will likely be finished within the chapter and it'll then be time to assemble the actors. Medium chance we get a more detailed post time skip Sakura PoV to see what her more recent thoughts are, and what her real circumstances are beyond being a fleshlight.

A jp commenter said we should see her point of view in the next chapter which would be stupid because shinobu getting with fumi's the only reason people are even still here at this point.

My biggest cope, Yuma or Sakura do get a role in it. Things act out. No telling what happens during production but this is what I'd want to see.

I know it's been said before, but with Shinobu hung up on Sakura, this movie could be a story about them acted through different characters. What I want to see is, when Sakura watches the movie. She's able to piece it together.

She sees what the rest of the conversation she heard was about. She sees how and why the kiss happened. Having these revelations causing her to be more and more surprised and becoming emotional as she realizes what she's done. Then.. while in character she excuses herself out of the theater in tears.

Is this gonna happen? Heavy doubt. But it'd be a way to try and "correct" her character and give an opportunity for her to woman up and reach out to Shinobu to talk things out.

95% true, but there are some people like myself who are really curious to see Sakura PoV and thoughts post time skip and how she's faring in her new setting outside the bedroom.

We don't know her situation beyond her moving out and joining blonde bitch's agency and this translated chapter makes it clear to me that the "sex" we saw here was just Shinobu picturing them having sex and even if they were actually having sex again, we can't see Sakura's face.
Her situation is that that she gets more substantial work than she ever got before. She is in a relationship with this guy longer than she ever was with Shinobu.

I don't get why people want to know what sakura is thinking because it should be obvious in a netorare all the girl can think about is dick and not the male leads. We have plenty of proof of this in the fact she has made no attempt to contact him or let him have any closure which we as the readers also want but are not going to get this author struggles to write compelling characters she is great at making us hate one though. But still enough has been shown that shinobu has no bearing on sakura's life anymore nor will he in the future so if anyone is still holding out hope I would suggest you just get over it you will feel better afterwards.

On a side note dose anyone find it funny that we all think the author hates her male characters but she is proving that stereotype that men value and care more about the relationships than woman do?

It's because we need the closure. It doesn't sit right with us for the two to seperate and just forget each other when the whole 126 chapters was about these two. It's not something you can just throw away no matter how much you want her to.

Sakura, while yes enjoying a lot of sex, isn't so one note. She has a high sex drive yes but there's more to her than just that. We want to see what she thinks of it all. See what direction they're taking her. There IS a chance for her to mature. It doesn't excuse what she's done but there's a chance for character growth.

Are we expecting too much? Most likely. But it doesn't sit right for me and others to just toss Sakura aside. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of her either because of what she did. But we NEED this closure for Shinobu and hopefully he'll get it.

Sakura may even be set aside for a bit but she WILL come back into the picture. That's out of the question.

Everyone wants to see Sakura again but the manga is now using her only for sex scenes. Have you guys noticed? Shinobu imagines her having sex with Fuckboi, and moves on. While we are shown that Shinobu is getting depressed, the manga show us a panel of her getting railed by Fuckboi Yuma again. She's just here for sex.

Well that something jp commenters were saying after 128 so it was inevitable I guess but it seems to me that sex is what makes Sakura happy I mean her character can't be written anymore shallow she has in fact ghosted bot shinobu and her friends at the share house I would say but I can't see how the author moves her back into shinobu's sphear in any meaningful way let alone having them get back together this mange feels very aimless now. It needs to pick a direction and go.

People are discussing this manga cus nobody has any faith that Katsura will deliver anything resembling something good. Nobody's sure if she's going to stick to Sakura and Shinobu going their separate ways or not.

As for your comment there's a clever use of the word HAPPY in this chapter. She's getting railed in that 3 panel page, while the word HAPPY is said by Shinobu (or her), so yeah implying this is HER HAPPINESS.

You guys want her to feel guilty and with lingering feelings of love for Shinobu. Katsura could have done that during the period shortly after the break up but months passed since then and she's being banged good by Yuma (fuckboi). Forget everything about feelings of guilty, she has pretty much moved on, also we don't need to see her thoughts just how well her acting career is going from time to time, no need for her to even speak lol.

That whole scene is still suspicious on weather or not it's a red hearing or not it may have been put their to make us the readers believe that's what's happening with the way it was drawn if it was greyed out like shinobu's memories that would have given to much away. But still I do not think Katsura Airi know how to write conflict which is why there was a time skip and why the pacing has moved so fast. If all that's true then we may be here awhile normally when on the last volume it's announced that it's the last reader engagement seems to still be high but most of it is criticism that keeps getting deleted. They deleted the top most liked comment on 130 that listed all the thing shinobu did for sakura. Which is just bizarre.

Well, Sakura knows she cheated on Shinobu, but she probably thinks Shinobu cheated on her first with Fumi. But yeah, I agree with you, she probably won’t feel any guilt even if the misunderstanding gets cleared up. She’s already moved on, she’s got more work and she’s got that fuckboi

But there was no HAPPY in between the three pages of sex... you have the reddit TL in mind. In the real translation there is no happy.

The only way people are going to get any resemblance of consequences if she uses Sakura for her depraved obsession with NTR and cheating. It won't be out of sense of morality but due to her uncontrollable desire of writing and drawing NTR, rape and orgies.
