This will be true if the move arc setup just ends up as background noise, but if its not then it'll make for an amazing confrontation setup and you can guarantee the relevant parties will be cast regardless of the scale of the movie, all they need is some plot convenience and a coincidental connection the Sakura's new agency.
But it does matter, we are dissecting the story because of what she did, these discussions wouldnt even be as big if she didnt sleep with the fuckboi. We are now trying to see the resolution, the outcome and the future. Also FMC replacements are extremely rare we just rolling the dice on this one now.

I really doubt that shinobu never cheated on Sakura when had the chance her if her character holds true then yes she probably will but I can see he author wanting her to have no consequences and suddenly is content with fuckboi a last humiliation to shinobu.
The cliffhanger will be Sakura and Shinobu crossing each other in the streets and seeing on another

How does the other perspective matter? we saw slutkura cheating on shinobu and we know why whats there to know more about? How she felt in the months? they are broken up already, its done. (till airi comes back with the worst writing skill of all time) The resolution will be that Slutkura ends up happy with the fuckboy, and Shinobu focuses on his career.
How could he possibly say no with a broken heart to a girl who has been waiting for him all these months with those two wonderful assets and those big fuck me eyes. NO WAY HE SAYS NO TO THAT.
