It will be new to her because up until this point not a single soul in the manga has challenged her on her belief in Shinobu's cheating.
Sure but since Nagi doesn't know what happed, she can only challenge that with a positive assurance on Shinobu's character which is something Sakura should have had after the 100+ chapters to the point were she decided that Shinobu did cheat

Well we gotta think about it like this.
Sakura basically took what she saw and heard at face value. Not to mention all the swooning she was getting from Blondie and Yuma.

It was a similar instance back in the Island arc. Nagi for Shinobu, that bastard for Sakura. We know he's a bastard but up until that revelation he was looking like a good guy.

Now, during this arc, Sakura and Shinobu had a lot of misunderstandings going on but it got resolved because they talked. They explained their situations and apologized to each other.

That didn't happen this time around. When Nagi was rejected, she didn't care and let the bastard have his way with her.

Sakura, through this misunderstanding, allowed herself, after a small resistance, to be fucked by someone else that wanted her.

Nagi and Sakura are somewhat similar in this regard albeit even if in different circumstances and reasons. Nagi is naturally going to ask how Sakura and Shinobu are both doing. She probably doesn't know they separated.

Sakura is going to explain they're not together.

Nagi would ask how?

Sakura will either respond with "well he had plans to abandon me" and I don't think she'll just opening say she let someone else have sex with her.

This is where I can see Nagi begin to realize what happened. She saw them talk, she saw them apologize and explain the misunderstandings.

She'll probably say "you guys talked this out? Are you sure?"

Sakura may not respond or shake her head no. And this is where she may explain what SHE saw when it came to Shinobu's dedication.

"You guys talked it out back then but not now? Do you know anything from Shinobu's side?"

And it could probably help Sakura fit the puzzle pieces together on her fuck up. She didn't hear our Shinobu. She didn't confirm it herself. Instead of being abandoned. She abandoned him.

Granted, ideally that's how I can see it happening but there's a good chance Nagi is going to make her realize her mistake. I can assume that much at least.
If there was ever a moment for me to pray Airi don't fumble, please don't let this play out like the fucboi meeting.

Should have, but she didn't, and so Nagi could bring it into focus and it'll have the possibility of making Sakura rethink the events of that day, no one is sure, some are just hoping for something more out of a character like Nagi being reintroduced, someone who loved Shinobu probably as much as Sakura did it not more, can make some difference in the story atp.

If we inject a dose of reality, many real people in Sakura's place would say nothing, never meet with Nagi again and do their best to quench any lingering doubt because the truth would make her face the fact she did dirty to the only guy who loved her so much that he placed her happiness above all else.

Take it as a life lesson, if you make someone's happiness your number one priority it's almost certain they will not make your's.

We shall see, I definitely don't like the part in this hypothetical where she essentially goes "oops I didn't hear out Shinobu at all did I?"

Honestly we just have to work with what we got. It may not be what some want but it's better than nothing right?

Sakura was simply an idiot for the whole thing. There's no denial of that for sure.

If this was reality for sure, thankfully we just get to yap about the fiction.

I pray to airi that she gonna go to the bitter end. Shinobu deserves it. :salute:
Or what did you mean with dont fumble?
Because if its about fuckery, than that already didnt play out like fuckboi meeting lol
Fumi still genuine about her feelings for him till proven otherwise

Well she let her insecurities gaslight her plus the reinforcement of those insecurities from fuckboi and blonde maybe she really dose need to hear it from a friend granted it's likely to late since shinobu isn't the type to pump and dump.
Which then brings me back to my original comment of Sakura only being able to act when reassured by others (except Shinobu) even when that reassurance is something she already knows.

Oh I just meant Nagi and Sakura actually getting together and having a productive meeting. I have my own preferences for how I hope the ShiFumi thing currently going on the other side of things ends but I'll stop rubbing everyone here the wrong way on that front haha.

Well I don't think it's a good flag as a reader for the fmc to essentially forget her 100 chapters of buildup just so she could cheat.

No one thinks it is either, and one of the things still keeping readers around besides ShiFumi setting sail is the remaning mystery of Sakura's thought and feelings now which author really likes to hide and might continue to.

Regardless of how it goes. We can only hope Sakura goes down the path of redemption no matter how stupid it may start to some.

Either way, she's gonna have A LOT to do to make up for what she did.

Oops. Meant to reply to @900samm lol
Well my statement stands regardless

As I mentioned before, the fans' logic isn't the author's. Just as most fans think Sakura is dead, given her behavior, we want Shinobu to be happy with Fumi, and why not, we want to see Sakura's downfall and her regret. What will happen is surely nothing like what most of us expect. Is that an achievement of the author? Is she just so good at creating improbable stories? If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that Sakura keeps appearing in the chapters because at some point she'll confront Shinobu. There will surely be a thousand excuses: that her dream clashed with Shinobu's, that she overheard her saying this or that, that if they each followed their own dreams they were going to end up separating anyway, etc., etc. The truth is, logically, each wanted to fulfill their dreams, and each expected the other's support and, above all, to be there in the bad times to support and give strength to the other. Sakura began to validate her dreams, and her erotic night helped her break with the past and embark on a new adventure, convinced it would improve her situation. Shinobu, for her part, had to accept the new reality. Seeing Sakura give herself to another man, Shinobu knew it was a decision with no turning back. What awaits us? Even knowing I've been wrong before, I believe that one way or another, Shinobu and Sakura will eventually meet again. They'll both think that if they had stayed together, they would have reached the same place without suffering, and they'll surely feel unhappy for not having been able to fix things instead of drifting apart. But ultimately, they can no longer be together, and despite their professional success, they'll realize they aren't happy. I'm sure I'm wrong, but at least I'm having fun.
