Might be me but don't like the yen press title for the manga. I like the fan-translation title which was "big and cute"

Yen Press did a more or less literal translation of the original Japanese title. But they couldn't make the same kind of wordplay they did in Japanese by combining "dekke" and "kawaii" into a single word. An alternative to keep that wordplay of mixing "dekke" with "kawaii" could maybe have been My Girlfriend Is a Gigacutie. Anyway, I think I was already used to "big and cute," so the word "colossal" doesn't really sound right to my ears. But I guess "colossal" is a more faithful translation of the original Japanese title.

If it is true on what you say then that makes me a little annoyed. License translators mostly argue about not wanting to do faithful translation and have it "sound right to the audience" then say "oh, it is an accurate translation!" Hell, I would have not mind Gigacutie. To me, I think that Big and Cute sounds 100000x better because its a simple for a fluffy romcom. There is no drama, no love rivals, and its high schoolers.

This is like Dungeon Meshi all over again by having the title as "Delicious in Dungeon" when another translator made a twt saying it could have sounded better by calling it "Dungeons & Delicacies."

I don't like it because it relates to much to snk and "colossal" isn't something I would never say for a tall girl..... That word is mainly used for animals or food challenges. It's ugly imo. When you say "big" is better because of how he thinks of her like a "big puppy."
