Based on both perspectives, I also believe nothing is standing in the way of Shinobu and Fumi’s "connected".
IMHO, Nagi’s arrival serves to salvage Sakura’s image in the readers' eyes preventing her from becoming even more disliked.
For instance, Sakura tells Nagi she has broken up with Shinobu so he can pursue his dream of becoming a director without worrying about her.
She simply switched agencies but she didn't actually become the fuckboi's girlfriend because Fumi had already messaged her about the situation. She made this decision not only Shinobu could chase his dream but also because she couldn't bear to face him feeling guilty over the rape incident that resulted from her own hasty assumptions.
That's why her message in chapter 130 said "I CANNOT SEE YOU ANYMORE". Instead of "I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU ANYMORE" in case she's still angry at him and really want to break up. It's so much different between "CAN'T" and "DON'T WANT".
@box2024 @Alsatia etc. did you guys suspect the message too?
She might read Fumi's message already and knew the truth in the morning after being raped by fucboy.
If we put ourselves in Fumi's shoes, she’s the one who caused the misunderstanding and she already had Sakura's number from when they discussed the gravure work. Wouldn't she do "something" to clear up the confusion she instigated? Do you really think someone like Fumi wouldn't even try to contact Sakura?
If Fumi did nothing more than helping Shinobu with the search that night, it would just be another proof that Airi Katsura (sensei) has no brain resulting in a script that is terrible and riddled with errors.
As for whether they will end up together again, I don't know, but I think the author will do something to reduce the anger directed at Sakura for sure because it affects the sales of volume 13 and 14. They must do something to solve this financial problem. So, Nagi appeared to let Sakura speak...
