Rule of story telling: The more you know about a plan before it is executed, the less likely it is to succeed because it would be boring repetition. So, it's almost certain nothing will go the way the MC expects it to.
Or considering the ammount of narrative influence on the story, it doesn't matter what actions he takes, the narrative is willing to beat a too big square peg into a round hole, corners be damned.

Otherwise he would have been able to approached this event in a different manner instead of trying to reproduce the event from the game.

89 chapters just for the prologue, the pacing of this manga is reaaally slow. We're only just getting into the game's main story next chapter :haa:

then we have Mushoku tensei. the whole series is just a 'prologue' for the real story that feature the actual hero (i forgot her name), who is Rudy's and Roxy's daughter.

I mean, a plan that doesn't go according to plan, means you haven't planned enough. No plan survives an encounter with the enemy. Unless you're Xanatos. In which case, you love a plan that comes together. (Of course he cheats, but that's all part of the plan.)

But the storytelling has been how he's already sort of screwed up the timelines for a bunch of events. Met people out of order, literally saved the mom of a heroine, empowered the hero, accidentally romanced a heroine he wasn't supposed to, saved some Stellar Elves (possibly lost some too), and a bunch of other things. This could go exactly how he planned it, but if the story focuses on a completely different aspect, then all this set up could be a red herring.

So this minister Harrison guy wants to get some special ancient weapons made of some crystal to take over the country? They better be actually powerful and not just slightly better than regular weapons with high durability unless that itself can become a big deal somehow.
Are those crystals made of dead people too?

Truthfully, i would really like for MC to not survive at the end, or atleast goes permanently missing and lives his remaining life away from everyone in peace.

Well, the later part is more likely to happen, since as per the Game plot, the Protag is supposed to kill Harold before facing the last boss.
If we go by game logic, Protag defeating a Mid Boss is important for the plot to move forward and also provide a tone of XP that no other character can easily give.

That means, there would be a need for Protag to kill Harold before facing Justus, be whatever MC tries to do to avoid it. So, the only other logical point would be to fake his death, help the Protag group from the shadows to defeat Justus, and leave the region permanently and never comeback.

Main plot, START! Man, I am excited, especially since I suspect Liner and Colette will recognize Harold from his combat style.
