The ending of the manga version, the MC commits suicide to frame the villain. It's a kind of promoting suicide and people got very angry. Just like how Grapara was criticized for promoting rape and people got angry that fucboy was not punished. People want Sakura to suffer and fucboy to be punished while in Oshi no Ko, people didn't want the MC to die.

The MC stabbed himself with his father's knife, then embraced his father and plunged into the sea, causing him to drown. This act is a ruse to deceive the public into believing his father killed him out of resentment for having his wrongdoing exposed and also to stop his father from attempting to murder his younger sister or the rising stars in the entertainment industry.

In the theatrical version, the ending is altered to be an accidence. It's a real fight between the MC and his father that results in an accidental fall into the sea where both perish, not a suicide.

The change was made to take the social responsibility but it failed to satisfy manga readers because the MC still died in the end.

That might be true but part of it is simply because you didn't read the Japanese comments right after chapter 129 came out.

I saw them by myself there were many Japanese people who were shock by the rape, yes they defined it "rape", but those comments were quickly deleted. All that's left were comments insulting Sakura, calling her easy and promiscuous, etc. (Then destroyed the fucboy character in chapter 130 stupidly. LOL) This fueled my curiosity why the web admin immediately deleted every message containing the word "rape."

Personally, I think Airi wrote Chapter 129 specifically to craft the perfect NTR scenario. In my view, that scene depicts Sakura being raped—or at the very least, forced against her will—rather than an act of voluntary infidelity. If you look at Airi’s past works, characters frequently get raped; however, applying that kind of dynamic to real life certainly wouldn't end as neatly as it does in the manga.
