This is true! So surely they meet...one last time at least, unless the idea is the close out the manga with Shinobu being labeled a cheater by half the girls (Nagi/Mio) he once rejected for Sakura as another sick form of comedy. My thoughts are if not a Mio reappearance than maybe a Nagi redemption moment in the final chapter that isn't some bait, because what a waste of a glow-up.
Now that you mention it, the problem with the timeskip in 135 is that it seems like Nagi and Mio didn’t care to find out that Shinobu “cheated”, a month has gone by and it doesn’t look like they care. Shit, there are more and more plot holes if we start analyzing it hahahhaa

The main purpose of the time skip I feel, was to push the two sub plots a bit further along so we now have Sakura doing her intimate scene and Fumi doing hers as well. You'd think they could simply call, but since everything feels like it's being rushed these things will be forgotten until it's absolutely needed at the right moments.

The skip really does create a number of plot holes and problems though, like Fumi keeping all of her feeling to herself this whole time instead of sharing it with her "boyfriend" director.

Rape can happen in the manga but the antigonist must be punished. That's why manhua is popular. If you wrote about rape without punishment in manga (you can do it in doujinshi) you're commit a crime by promoting rape. So, you see they must punished the glass guy who raped the FMC in the end, right? The rapist can't get away from the punishment like fucboy.

AK (sensei) is in danger letting her golden boy, the fucboy did rape without punishment. Another fucboy is ok because he's in doujinshi, not mainstream manga that has many organization to control. I wonder if there will be any complaints after volume 14 is published. It can be banned.
This is for you @jonasadan (or @diphuc1 @Alsatia @box2024 ) because you seem interested in how Japan control the content in manga.

There many cases such as Aki Sora manga volume 1 and 3 has been banned because of rape and incest contents, Welcome to Sugarpot manga volume 1 had been withdrawn from bookstores etc.

Please understand that these laws only apply to manga published in print, not apply to digital version and doujinshi. Publishers have rights to print manga, while digital manga's right belongs to the author.

Japanese people value manga and they have a sense of justice similar to Western people. So, they have laws regulating manga that contain socially destructive content or promote illegal activities. So, if you include something illegal, you have to include the punishments in the story like Guilty Circle and many manga did.

Hence, if you read Japanese comments about fucboy and Sakura you could see they asked for punishment, punishment and punishment ! LOL

If a Japanese manga author creates a story that is harmful to society, which organizations would intervene?

"If a Japanese manga author creates a story deemed harmful, intervention typically begins at the publisher level, eventually escalating to local governments or law enforcement. Penalties range from contract termination and heavy financial damages to criminal prosecution, imprisonment, and fines under Japan’s obscenity laws."

Therefore, I have a conspiracy theory that Keishi Nishikida sensei and Kodansha knew they couldn't fully stop Airi Katsura (sensei) from doing bad things with Grapara. So, KN sensei intentionally left certain loopholes or issues in the panels such as no faced Sakura and fucboy in chapter 131 and planned to fix them in the printed volume. Of course, they want to avoid social backlash or legal trouble.

I saw a Japanese comment before it's deleted suggesting that if chapter 129 was changed and placed as chapter 129.5 in the collected edition, that reader would buy volume 14.

This is possible because volume 14 contains only 9 chapters instead of 10. So the extra chapters may be the old chapter 129 as 129.5 and the new 133.5 chapter.

This solutions will stop every problems and also avoid social and legal punishments.

KN sensei is in a dilemma because he holds a 50% right of Grapara and the laws do not cover the digital version. But he wouldn’t be stupid enough to bring trouble upon himself along with AK (sensei) in the printed version.

I don't trust Airi Katsura (sensei) who is mentally ill but I still have hope for Keishi Nishikida sensei and Kodansha.

Thanks again for the info dump, I want to pick your brain a bit regarding this chapter here, specifcially the fucboi blonde conversation if you've had a chance to read it where fucboi admits to feeling that he "forced their relationship, rushed things and skipped a few steps." because thing aren't going so well now it seems.

Overall the conversation I'd consider poorly written because it is just blonde reassuring fucboi calling him cool and "so in love" with Sakura for taking her from her manager at the time, while giving him some parting advice if he wants to keep staying with her to the end, but I feel like what fucboi says is more interesting here even though it's not much.

At this point, I honestly don't know what Katsura Airi is trying to accomplish, other than forcing in NTR to satisfy her own desires. She already fulfilled the NTR promise in the story with Sakura, so there was no need to force this kind of plot onto Fumi as well.

If you look at the comments from Japanese readers on MangaPoke after Chapter 129, almost everyone seems to have the same opinion: "Don't put Fumi and Shinobu through this kind of plot again."

If Airi wants to indulge in NTR, she could have continued doing it with Sakura, which readers have already learned to let slide. Or she could even put it into her doujin work instead. I genuinely don't understand why she still felt the need to force Fumi into an NTR role, especially when the series is literally ending in the next chapter.

I don't even know why she would do this when she had already fulfilled the promise she made. In a way, you could say that Airi has crossed the line with those readers as well.

Anyway, I wish her good luck at Comiket.

As a final note, let's talk a little about Hiromitsu Takeda. He is the author of the manga Maken-Ki! as well as many NTR doujin works. Earlier in his career, he also wrote some vanilla harem works. Nowadays, he understands that he can no longer write in that style, but what he did wasn't force himself to continue and then shove NTR into the story like Airi does. Instead, he had other artists help continue the original harem doujin plots he had created.

If Airi knows that she can't function as a writer without putting NTR into her work, then what she should have done wasn't what we saw in Chapter 135 and destroy her own series. She could have stepped back into more of an advisory role and let Nishikida Keishi become the primary writer. But instead, she stubbornly chose to keep doing it herself.

That's the difference between these two NTR-obsessed writers.

P.S. This is the title of the collaborative doujin work by Hiromitsu Takeda and Syunichi that I was referring to: Cross My Heart ~ Tsundere Fuuki Iin to Kinpatsu Bishoujo Ryuugakusei.

If I'm being delusionally optimistic here. To answer your question, KA here is forcing apart ShiFumi to pave the way for ShiKura if it's not just a late stage bait.

If we're going for the doom and gloom angle, it's full steam ahead for a Shinobu solo ending where he's back working at a convenience store because the movie flopped or was cancelled due to a fallout with the lead actress and director. FucboiXSakura remain together happily ever after with both becoming majorly successful actor/actress couple and Shinobu is just standing there during a break watching one of their live interviews on the convenience store TV.

KA is deftinitely a different breed of an NTR creator. I was a bit more hopeful than most going off one of the artist's rare GraPara! tweets that wasn't a simple promo reposting, so I'm feeling just a little bit defeated with how 135 went, but still hopeful enough for 136.

If Airi wanted to build the story toward a Shikura ending, she should have started laying the groundwork when Nagi was introduced, rather than making her a useless character and leaving the misunderstanding unresolved all the way until now.

Chapter 135 should have been used to set up the eventual meeting between Shinobu and Sakura, with Fumi naturally stepping aside on her own, instead of forcing in this ridiculous NTR plot with a stupid pen.

All this points to some things bts maybe going wrong during those weeks. Right now nothing feels like its guaranteed yet, it's just an extension of 134 with relationships on both sides getting shaken up, one difference being fucboi has blonde in his corner while Shinobu I guess you could say had Ryusei but their talk pertained more towards the movie/work more than relationship advice.

Are we... Gonna keep ignoring the whole manga? Didn't like 5 girls in this series sell their bodies to a producer and there was zero consequences. Not to mention the other characters that sexually harassed Sakura. It took cheating to really be like "THIS IS ILLEGAL AND EVIL REEEE"

If Airi wants to end the story this way, the situation wouldn't be any different. The second-biggest thing Japanese readers on MangaPoke want is to see Shinobu be happy and successful as a film director. So if she insists on ending the story with Shinobu failing, I can already imagine the backlash against Airi.

It really does seem like the idea that Airi doesn't understand what Grapara's readers actually want might be true. LoL

Welp the story got canned so I don't blame her for driving the story fully off the cliff

It's just funny to me that the Sakura cheating is the main focus without looking at the bigger picture of the story. The NTR wasn't forced it was there from the very beginning and in the synopsis and throughout the story. I don't know WHY everyone is acting like that was never a thing in the series just cause multiple guys failed at seducing Sakura.
She was genuinely trying to tell a story about the dark side of the gravure industry and funny no one talks about it or acknowledges it. Not cause it was told badly if it was no one would have this much hate over the NTR/cheating cause Shinobu played his part in steering Sakura away from the that. If people can connect to shinobu to some level that they'd want him to succeed in some way doesn't that mean she did tell at least a decent enough story. If this was her usual works you really think people would be this invested in Sakura and Shinobu?
The JP gooners can cry that their pure maiden Sakura is a cheater all they want but ignoring the story and bitching about the NTR NOW NOW AFTER 100 CHAPTERS OF IT and acting like it was never NTR is stupid and disingenuous and I feel bad for Airi. I'm not saying the story is this deep rich 10 out of 10 story but the hate for the series is so unwarranted and unfair because people already have a bias towards the author. If she had a chance for another volume I'm sure she would've written a decent and proper end but guess we can't have authors crossing lines anymore and we wonder why we keep getting generic safe slop isekais

You are pretty on point! Now unfortunately it's the JP Bros with the more heavily weighted opinions here as they're ones following and supporting the story for 3 years+ and they have taken their stance in both the comments section and wallets. The story IS good, execution in some parts was a bit forced you could say, but I personally would have loved to get another two or three volumes, to see where the story could properly end instead of whatever condensed version we'll be ending with in just one more chapter. The other funny thing is that not even all the NTR bros were happy with what went down so even the NTR itself was mid at best in its execution I heard.

The reason there are so many isekai works is that most isekai manga authors understand what their readers want, so they keep producing more series in the genre, and people keep buying them. Meanwhile, after the author of Grapara fulfilled her NTR promise involving Sakura in an interview, readers who had followed the series all the way to Chapter 135 had already come to terms with it and were warning Airi not to do anything stupid with the remaining characters.

But Katsura Airi seems to understand none of that

The result is that the same kind of backlash and hatred we saw after Chapter 129 has happened all over again, along with the disappointing sales performance of Volume 13.

I'm not trying to cheer on you for ShiKura but I myself feel strange to the last sentence that the blond said to fucboy because it has been translated into a different meaning in MangaDex. For me, Reddit's translation is closer to the original because it's not a simple sentence but it's an IF CLAUSE sentence.

IMHO, the last sentence from the blond is a suggestion for fucboy to consider giving up on Sakura if he can't go with her decision !

To go along with Sakura's direction, it means he's nothing to her because she won't listen to him, the same way Fumi's trying to do with Shinobu ... she cut tie with him in order to push him back to Sakura. Fumi is making a sacrifice, not being sarcastic like people think. So sad. Of course, fucboy must realize Sakura will never love him because if Sakura think he's her boyfriend, she'd listen to his opinion. But Sakura shew she didn't care fucboy's opinion. Why would the fucboy drag this toxic relationship for more?

That original Japanese sentence from the blond : "同じ方向を見れないとさ"

Compare to the Google Lens translation into English : "If you can't look in the same direction..."

Please also notice that Google Lens is smart enough to end the sentence with "..." instead of "."

That's my analysis as you asked. Hope it is correct though I feel bad for Fumi.

I said I don't want Fumi to sacrifice but she has already done it, so I have to go on with her decision. Fumi realized from seeing the pen that Shinobu will never forget Sakura then love her. She always do everything for Shinobu's sake because she loves him. Her latest deed is also for the sake of Shinobu as always. So sad.

Maybe, in chapter 135, Shinobu will be encouraged by Fumi to call Sakura. Then they meet and Grapara ends there with an open ending.

Just cause the JP Bros have an opinion doesn't mean it's the end all be all and based on a few of the comments that touched on what they said it just sounds like they are upset the lead female cheated not that the story was overall bad. Which I get it's a culture thing cheating very taboo but I still think it's odd that again now we care not when she was fingered , groped , flashed , forced on dates. It took a guy who confessed to her and Sakura catching Shinobu kissing . Everyone hates it immediately without even getting a chance to see the aftermath. That's not fair and you have to admit even from the JP Bros was a too early to judge .

As for the NTR fans like isn't that proof she wasn't forcing NTR. Her main story that everyone is ignoring on purpose was the focus not the NTR stuff that was just fanservice. An NTR fan coming out of nowhere just to be like "nah this bad" to a manga that's story driven is like a guy who likes fantasy hentai reading something like Redo Healer or another Ecchi fantasy series going "nah not good" .

I trust the people who actually have actual criticism about the story not just with Sakura's cheating but the story as a whole and doing it without hating the author and projecting their insecurities on her. It's very cringe to read "she doesn't get laid" "she has mental problems" "she doesn't know how to write"

I don't understand how the readers didn't come to terms 130 chapters ago. Shinobu and Sakura weren't even together for almost half of it. In the 60 chapters were characters were getting fucked left and right no one thought "hmm maybe Sakura will become a victim to the gravure industry before ending up with Shinobu" and I don't blame Airi for disregarding the readers cause they cancelled her series anyway. What's she supposed to do with 6 chapters anyway? Have a boring ending and try to squeeze whatever nonsense the READERS want not her FANS. I wholeheartedly respect her for sticking to what she likes to write and instead of giving what a bunch of ungrateful morons who ignored her story and only focused on the cheating wanted. If people actually wanted a decent ending they should've ACTUALLY paid attention to her story and supported the series after the cheating chapter to see the aftermath and proper conclusion but instead you get what was projected onto her.

But at this point, the ending Katsura Airi is writing is just the kind of boring ending you could find in a cheap NTR doujin. And now she's trying to force her ridiculous NTR preferences onto the readers as well.

The series is literally ending in the next chapter. Why keep shoving in this pointless nonsense when Airi has already forced ridiculous NTR plotlines into the story since Chapters 128–129? On top of that, it's all happening in Volume 14, which includes Chapter 135. Repeating the exact same thing again doesn't make it even more boring?

And for readers who have been seriously invested in the story, it only makes them even angrier when she keeps forcing in pointless nonsense like the stupid pen, or throws in a time skip that creates even more plot holes for people to complain about.

In the end, cutting out pointless ideas driven by the author's personal preferences in favor of giving the story a good ending would actually make her more respectable. It's much better than constantly forcing her personal preferences into the story and making the whole thing even more of a mess.

Though the producer did nothing to Sakura, did you notice that producer was exposed and disgraced so he'd to undercover to trick Chico into learning sex techniques to use on Shinobu?

For those who had sex with Sakura but no penetration : the director was stabbed then his genital became useless and Topy was hit by a car and lost his memory.

Everyone has received some form of punishment, more or less, to satisfy Japanese readers already !

The only exception is the fucboy who shows no signs of facing retribution. Instead, he remains happy simply because, as cynics point out, he is Airi Katsura (sensei)'s favorite character !

Who's to say that the end would've been so much different from what we're seeing now? It's naïve to believe she would leave Fumi untouched. It's like I said, these characters are supposed to be adults but none of them posses basic communication skills and talk about their worries and insecurities.

If you actually pay attention to the JP readers criticism, you would realize that a major part of them is pointing out exactly this issue. In both instances instead of talking, they decide to do the stupidest thing possible. Every time she needs them to do something stupid she removes all intelligence from her characters.

also if sales were already low before volume 12 then the axe didn't come because of chapter 129
