The art, the combat sequence and yet its so sad knowing Zoe used up nearly her entire life.
I keep hoping for a happy ending for Lucas and Zoe but I don't think this is one of those manga that will ass-pull a happily ever after. I respect that in many ways. Hopefully the author can land the ending. I genuinely don't have a clue how this will end.
zoe is pretty much unbeatable in this, maybe akira will use more than 50 years to beat her, at the cost of the tower?
zoe would win that battle of attrition because akira wouldn't account for the time she slept after fighting for the pope, if so
CMIIW. though i wonder if those 2 years in her dreams are her finding a way to victory because the first page she already knows what is going to happen after her battle but in the middle pages she still seems surprise by a couple of stuff akira do, it seems to contradict. Maybe the akira in the dream dont want to reveal his powers in the real world because he knows he is in a dream/simulation and it all doesn’t matter anyway
that's not mid battle, it's checkmate
the pawns can be taken down with 7 years of stopped time, the bigger bad is elsewhere for lucas to take down, but she's about to crush exhaust-ing akira to shreds
unless something new enters the battle
The wait was worth it. I'd guess that the way to wake Zoe up is for Lucas to use up a tower's powers himself and shift himself to a worldline where's she's waiting for him. There's also a move Lucas can use to finish off the fight asap. Control everyone, take the clones hostage and order Kayano to cast meteor on mommy's house.
In any case, this manga's comeback is historic. I remember back when a bunch of us were buying the japanese ebooks back when there were rumors of an axing before the english translation came out. It will feel crazy to see it animated.
Great chapter, the authors did a fantastic job and somehow made a battle between time manipulator easy to read. The twist about the 17 years was also really clever.
The only issue I have is that Zoe doesn't seem to be physically stronger than she usually is when borrowing time despite the fact that she is borrowing her entire life this time.
Although maybe it's a set up for her to later do the reverse of that chapter twist and reveal that she still had 40 years of strength to borrow.
I thought Zoe can only borrow her time to become faster based on her flowering before? She really can do all kind of time manipulation now. Though so does Akira with his bs power borrowed from his tower.
Windows movie maker powers are Kino.
On a serious note, hell of a chapter, i love this manga and i hope that Zoe and Lucas get to make it through the ending
