Actually, 4 volumes. 5th will be out this winter and from what I know it will be focused about
Hidaka’s sister arc.

Also,
Iba also took her own life 10 days after MC suicide. Amada is really fucking wicked for a sociopath. ATP I won’t be surprised multiple heroines took their own life after MC’s death.

Some of the really engaging drama will be laid out in the first 10-20 chapters of this manga I’d suppose, but if you are here for the fluff between MC, FMC, Yuzu and others, I’d suggest holding off for a while before you start. To me, the fluff part is worth it tho, esp if you hate something as dramatic as the opening.
wait what Iba?
I know that Mikoto take her own life after MC suicide, but does Iba also?

Yes, correction, she khs a week after Ishii’s suicide.

Basically she had that guilt after finding out his whole family is dead, she tried to save Ishii from spiralling but is talked back by Amada.

From there she realised Amada is the worst, manipulative and all that, and she regretted so much that she become depressed.

Also MAJOR SPOILER
She is the only confirmed heroine to have confirmed memories of their first life altogether. She started remembering their past life after what happened in Vol 1 and starts to bless happiness between MC and FMC.

In Vol 4, Iba and MC confirmed to each other that they are both, in fact, time travellers (of some sort). From there on they work together to avert a future before Amada can even make use of it.

This is quite a new find for me. MC gets back in the past with his memories still fresh. I think this was the 2nd one with a similar plot I've read in the past.. Anyway, for now, I'd give this a 6/10. I'm still skeptical about the story if this would be good or not.

I bet the apparent romcom protagonist and childhood friend of the heroine is the real culprit for everything that turned the manga main character‘s life to shit and made him suicide. I guess the fmc loved him in his first life and also remembers it with a lot regret because she failed to save anyone.

It's worth it. Looks like a classic cliché. Well... whats better than a cliché?

Nope he is just a sociopath who loves and admire romcom stories and wanted his life to be like one. This is the reason he acts as a dense protagonist and build a harem. And he also gave the tragic heroine role to Hidaka when they were children. In fact, in Hidaka's pov, when she was a child she didn't like Amada and even hated him because she feels like he saw her as a doll
Is he ever going to get his comeuppance? Like be exposed to everyone for the psychopath that he is? If this novel just brushes past it and just sidelines him without any real catharsis to how evil he is ...

If you don't mind heavy spoiler

At the end of volume 1, during the accusation event, MC plays uno reverse card on him and after being cornered, Amada shows a part of his true self and lose his place in the classroom, and he even take a leave of absence.

He returns in volume 2 with a new plan thanks to another childhood friend named Hitsujitani, but at the end the plan failed, and Hitsujitani saw for herself Amada is not the kind guy she thought he was. Besides he was unaware his ex friend and harem members played spies for MC.

In volume 3, Tsukimiya Ouji is forced to play the douchebag and MC tries to figure out what happened, Amada takes the chance and tries to play the hero but got shotdown by Hidaka.

In volume 4, Amada is mostly absent, but at the end, he suffers another humiliation when a 3rd childhood friend shows up. He thought he could use her but unfortunately, she met MC during summer break and she learned what Amada is. When they met again, she saw right through him and let him dumbfounded.
In this volume, we also have his POV from the 1st timeline and the guy is so messed up he led this 3rd childhood friend to her death only to make her twin sister his pawn.

So in short : Amada is humiliated by seing MC and Hidaka being close, the lost of his harem, his plans being wrecked, and he even had to spend his summer vacations with the introverts group instead going to the beach with beautiful girls. For a harem romcom protagonist, it's a hard reality.
I'm waiting for a bigger comeuppance but seeing him humiliated like this is pure joy
