That coldness is just the 180 of what you felt before towards Sakura, if it makes sense to put it this way and what Airi is trying to achieve with her decisions for the story.

It is true that the longer GraPara kept staying in the same rinse/repeat bait cycle it was going to stagnate sooner than later with this many chapters and so after 102, the not-bait NTR was probably an inevitability in order to take the story into its ending sequence (if this was the plan). The only issue with this though process is that all the aftermath chapters have been very inconsistent in writing and tone making it very hard to piece things together even as we're now waiting for the last chapter.
