I know (and I think WE readers know too )why you are saying this, but it feel like you are saying Mimi-Suke haven't been humble and hardworking all the way until now, and who can blame her for losing focus when for the first time in all her idol carrer she is getting all that attention and recognition for her hard work (and some viral video luck)?

She's too self aware to not course correct mid way through the event. Half the reason the girls always place her as leader is because she's got aura farming levels of charisma but the other half is she's actually just a really great leader that always seems to know exactly what everyone needs. This includes herself.

She might stumble but Mimisuke WILL NOT FALL!

Side note: I believe this is Mimi's growth arc. It should be a banger. I'll be kinda disappointed if it isn't.

That smug face... Holy smokes, honestly I love it.

I agree with everyone, and feel that Mimisuke's been set up to have a very shocking experience, but it's hard to say if it'll happen now, or if it'll carry on to blow up further ahead. Because she's ready, like the others, she practiced a lot, she's got great chemistry with her teammates, she's been humbled before, and what's been causing her to lose focus was her nervousness.

It makes me imagine two (very) unlikely scenarios, we have a bit of pull back focus from Mimi and have an arc for another two contestants (Koyuki feels like a given at this point), she does well or aces it, and that makes her arrogant going forward. Another is that she'll fumble to a point she'd be eliminated, but gets saved by the popularity vote.

Like @Razsius, I think she'll fumble but self correct midway, maybe after a poor performance on day one, with Ibuki and Ritsu helping her get her head on the game.

Anyway, great chapter! I can't wait for the next one, tyvm for the scanlation!
