You're correct and it sucks that Shinobu basically gets hit by a second betrayal like Airi's out here trying to make a 9/11 reference.

Whether Fumi's act here is a betrayal can be debated, but going by how she pretended to agree with Shinobu's direction for the scene (zero nudity) and had an entire month to sort out her feelings and actually talk to Shinobu about it, to me it qualifies as a "betrayal" for now until chapter 136 reveals more. I don't know how I feel about it, but if Fumi's reasons are for the success of the movie + Shinobu, then maybe things will work out for them in the end...this is for the ShiFumi wanters out there.

Well, if you put yourself in Shinobu's pov, it makes sense. What he doesn't want to see is Sakura sad, and I would say Shinobu knows that the worst thing he could do to Sakura is to fix the misunderstanding because he knows that would destroy her.

Empathy bordering on the suicidal variety.
