Big fan of everyone just taking it for granted that they are just going to run around in the rain for awhile then find Aki none the worse for wear. The actual current crisis is so rote that everyone reading already knows whats going to happen.

One of the most important things bands have to get right is compromise, meeting each others specific artistic needs in order to create something together. Nah Mitsuki is more important than all the others she is so special she needs to make all the music herself and have to be about herself and she can do the vocals and the drum parts and do everything because thats the only way to really stay true to yourself you know.

I hope she makes a one-girl Black Metal project.

First... More than 4 pages? Second... I was right... If it isn't outside interference (namely Arata or uncle Joe), it's Aya deciding enough is enough and bulldozing all over Mitsuki's insecurities. When is Mitsuki going to do her part in this relationship? At some point, Aya doing all the heavy lifting is going to be an issue in itself...

Does every Yuri have a kingdom hearts shadow now
(Amayo no Tsuki did it better)

I'm just glad there's a plot moving. Instead of random insert dream chapter. ALSO finally some clarity on why the band thing was a big deal. She feels like she's forcing aya to listen to her play mid music not her own. I mean ehhh she would understand why you did it but SHE doesn't know cause of course like everyone says every chapter Communication.

I'm still rooting for a Blue Yuri but seeing Mitsuki get her serious face after Aya snapped her out of it. I guess they'll go back together after this miss.
Aki come on your too young to be having these thoughts. If Rikku thinks you're gae forget that loser and move on :nyoron:
Lol, that's I was thinking too
"Damn all of them got schizophrenia or smth?"

If one person talks to their dark reflection, it's schizophrenia. If two people do it, it's a trope. No Schizos here!

The most important thing this chapter is Aya coming in like a bulldozer with a real problem and wrecking Mitsuki's fake problem. They don't have therapy in manga Japan, they have relationships, and Aya just dropped some therapy talk. 'Don't focus on the doubts in your head, focus on what you have to do right now to be effective.' It seems to have helped, at least for a page. Action Mitsuki is back.

Will this lead to them finally having a talk? Who knows, but I hope so.

I get what you're saying about Aki, but my nephew was diagnosed with depression when he was in elementary school. Stuff like this can and does afflict kids at a young age, much as we might like to think otherwise.

I can't view it as "compromise" when Mitsuki is the only one being shown pressured to bow to majority rule. Maybe it's not about her being "special" as trying to demonstrate that the cultural attitude of "the nail that sticks out gets hammered down" can be harmful, like what's happening to Aki.

Thats all we've been shown though, we never saw what the other bands were like, we do not even know exactly what happened with the last one all we get is brow beaten about Mitsuki's internal compass being thrown out of whack by not doing exactly what she wants at all times.

I was having flashbacks to Smeagol/Gollum myself...maybe there's a doppelgänger actor out there that specializes in playing "dark shadows", and they just got a double paycheck for this episode. :p

Payoff! And hugely successful at that :win:

Great paneling and use of perspective both for the inner and outer worlds. The surging green hits exactly the right notes to emphasize the emotional...focus(?) this chapter is meant to bring. Mitsuki has been adrift for so long she needs something to focus her mind and feelings on.

Which, you know, should be Aya's eyes :glee:

Remember, manga readers, when there is an ongoing drama arc longer than 2 chapters, you should:
1. "When will this arc be over? This is irritating, I want to go back to fluff!"
2. "Why don't they just talk?!?!?!"
3. "I don't know what's happening anymore"
4. "Time to drop it, I'm out."

Longer drama arcs only work for stories that arent released at a glacial 4 pages a week pace and that work to build their characters where what has happened deels significant, but they just kinda just be moping around and shit, and now we got "runaway child" to help make things right.

Honestly this whole arc after they start dating has been pissing me off bruh like what the hell is happening
It comes off as pointless extras because one of two things will happen:

1) They do eventually break up, making everyone hate the series.
2) They get back together, which makes all this drama feel pointless.

I would be more invested if these weren’t characters we were already familiar with. Watching love fade over time might be profound in a way, but it’s not fun to read, especially when you waited so long for them to get together.
