That was anticlimactic as f***

Oh hey, this dumbass brocon is the most talented fighter in the history for fighters. Good thing dying of thirst gave me a powerup. Yada yada despair.
bro wasn't the greatest fighter in the history of fighters, he's just really good at learning to the point he leapfrogged akita. you never see him fight anyone other than akita because he'd definitely lose, he was just a challenge perfect for where akita is at the current point in his education (and because rikudou wanted the satisfaction of seeing her shithead brother get punched in the face)

Not the greatest fighter, but his talent is stupid, and he was completely dominant until this point and in way better condition. I'm fine with him losing due to a difference in mentality, but Akita just got a powerup and one punched him. He didn't win with grit or strategy. Just main character power, which I really don't like in martial arts mangas.

tobacco addicted-looking insomniac oneshots the antagonist after 5 chapters or so of build-up and getting beaten up repeatedly lol - totally not overused
well, at least this crap arc is over. just cope we get at least one hot springs chapter out of this (on top of the mandatory volume extra)

I was expecting mano-a-mano but to be taken down with a counter punch, bro’s just really weak af.

I don’t see Akita beating Rikoudo any time soon, though.

Their comment could’ve left out martial arts and everything they said would still apply and be valid. Semantics.

This camping trip power up and the brother went against anything established in the manga to speedrun Akita‘s fighting to a point where he can go against the top dogs and it sucked.

The only not retarded and enjoyable thing that has happened these recent chapters will be his fight with Setsuna and even that is tarnished by this dogwater power up

That‘s a strawman, yikes. Completely different circumstances. She has been a violent demon since the beginning with great feats. The brother didn‘t do any fighting ever.

Can't say this was a satisfying chapter. Had a decent buildup but the conclusion felt way too rushed. Would have preferred the brother go out in at least two hits -- following up the initial straight with a high kick to the head on the staggering brother. Make the entire chapter focus on the fight, then Setsuna can come in next chapter. They have the same exchange they had here, Akita lashes out, maybe lands one minor hit, then gets blown out in usual fashion.

As it stands, it just feels too abrupt. There's no satisfaction.

I can at least see him putting up a fight against her this time
Last time she tried to train him with a knife he surprised her with a hit that helped him escape
