For the First: Tis a hard question, because the genres I'd choose are more subgenres, like I'd sacrifice the Slasher Genre, or Dark Fantasy. There no full Genre I would ever sacrifice.
For the Second: Depends on the kind of Idea. A story Idea can arise from anything from a simple action, a car ride, watching a video or movie. That's just one form of idea formation though, it's quite the broad question.

Other people can enjoy things I dislike, such as yaoi and femboys but I won't take their happiness away from them. I can co exist , it's absolutely fine to do that. Because I can simply just not watch genres I dislike

159.5: How does one stop thinking? ADHD is one hell of a drug. In all seriousness though, experience things. Listen to a new (to you) genre of music. Count the amount of hairs on your big toe. Season and bake a chicken. Drink the entire bottle of lemon juice. Sometimes we just have to take a wee step outside our normal routine!
