And the story we have, with this 4 volumes are covered and 4 more to go (for now). And I cannot wait to read the continuation as we will have the start of Haruna arc throughout novels 5-7, a foundation for wholesome yuricest route.

Also i dont think the ending is what makes it a harem manga, the large number of love interests is what defines harem, and this had 4 from the beginning.

Frankly i dont think "haremslop" like quintessential quintouplets which just picks one of them at the end are any better. Most often the choice feels arbitrary because they built up all the characters equally and forgot to make the choice matter for anything.

While I do get your point... Yotsuba was still best girl the whole time. Her character deserved it even if the execution was clumsy.
More seriously, I've always had mixed feelings about the idea of poly endings as a solution. Like you said, if it's not handled well the choice of a single partner can be disappointing. But if it is done properly, that choice becomes meaningful. Seriously reflecting on one's feelings can be character growth. At the same time, in this case Renako did her soul-searching and arrived at the conclusion that choosing both was the best solution, and that too is meaningful. But when that doesn't apply, poly is an excuse for making no choice at all, no commitment. It's about the protagonist taking responsibility for their own feelings, if that makes sense. This isn't necessarily a critique or rebuttal of your point, just my thoughts on it.
Make it mean something, that's what I'm getting at.

It's very valid and it's most likely what will happen. It's already happening very much on this site with many titles that got dropped by "legit" (if you can call them that lol) scanlation groups, who put actual love and care in their work, after serialization only to get picked up again and have lobotomized MTLs.

Still, if you're thinking of dropping off here, then no one realistically can tell you "no" lmao anyway. I think everyone will respect it too. It's just that you've done good work till now, it'd be a waste to risk it to an MTL sniper.

it set up and executed on a good polyamory story. and, even if it had ended with monogamy, despite all the set up, it would've still been a harem story. indeed, most harem romances end with monogamy. polyamory is simply less represented. let us have this one.
