Man, I'm mad.

I at least wanted to see what Zepar would've looked like.

I hope one day somehow they continue it.

Thank you guys so much for fully translating the manga.

This ending would be fine if this manga have like 72 or more chapter but ehh, thank you for the chapter!
i think the core concept of the ending is just terrible, just gives up the book and the demons just leave and thats it, everything he spent the series working to obtain ended up being a complete waste of time

there needed to be some third option where he could find a way forward that everyone wins but instead its just nothing

People are complaining about it getting "axed", but from glancing at the novel it seems that it was just the novel being that short and ending abruptly too after the fight. Granted, the manga made several (bad) changes to the ending to give it more closure.

So yeah, don't complain about the manga getting axed because that is not the case. Instead, complain about them deciding to adapt this novel knowing full well that it would end abruptly with a wet fart :angery:

Wow, this series ending like this is…incredibly disheartening, and as much as I’d like to direct my grief at the dreaded axe™️ it seems the novel barely extended past this point to begin with, what a shame, the demons honestly deserved better and honestly were more interesting than any of the humans by several orders of magnitude, what a letdown. I feel it’s within reason to give this a 2/10 but out of respect for crocell and magnolia’s arcs I’m willing to give it a 4/10, man this is gonna leave a bad taste for a while.

i can see why it got axed
But if he can't longer "use " the demon's then whats the point of the title being Ars Goetia?
Are you guys having difficulty understanding that this is the axed ending and not the novel manga being axed because of this chapter? :question:He never gave up the demon powers in the novel.
Edit: Typo

really? others are saying this is the novel ending
Same timing but not the identical scenario. Both end after the fight against Beleth.

In the WN ending, nobody realised Norman is delving in demon magic. He still got the demons under his command and he secretly plan on reigning upon all of them. It is really a “the story has just started” kind of sequel-hook ending.
There’s no LN ending, it never gets another volume after Agarest summoning chapter.

The manga ending decide to have a “return to ordinary life” ending to the story by making Norman let go of Ars Goetia. He is no longer the protagonist who has the defining traits of using magic by demonic power, instead he became like any other sorcerers, putting a close to the chapter.

So a "dont read the LN" adaption somehow

It's not like just because we read the manga adaptation we automaticaly know the plot of the novel

I think the LN just take the WN and do minimum editing.
It doesn’t change story elements as much as the manga.

For example, there’s no sympathetic side to the teacher nor Regal, they’re just one dimensional character to emphasise “everyone look down on Norman, he’s suffering all alone in the world” story set up, and “the bully”.
