God I miss his Homunculus style art. I know Hikari Man was a shift in styles for him but this feels so familiar yet different. Also I hope the Ben character isn't some super racist South Asian sterotype, ik he is just early volume 1 fodder, but you never know with mangakas lol

I really like the artstyle here, I hated how Hikari Man looked (done with 3d models iirc) but this, to me, feels like Homunculus and Ichi era art with Okama Report and Nozokiya era designs. I really love how cartoonish everyone looks while still feeling pretty "real".

As far as this Benjamin guy goes, I think he is pretty much just opening fodder equivalent to a martial arts manga chapter 1 jobber. You'll see what I mean in a couple chapters, but the bigging him up as a super evil criminal is just to set up a simple reason for the main character to give him a whooping. It seems like Chikurin and Nishi are the most important characters here besides John Drunken Fist himself.
