I think the harem ending is the most likely one.Tsubami lost her virginity in the lastest chapter with the MC in the fivesome and i think it won't be back to a normal dynamic after that.And the lesbian would agree with that because Chisaki would on the harem too.

I think this author is very smart, but not only in writing, also in knowing how to listen. I believe his plan was for Chisaki to be the FMC from the start till end, but after seeing how the fans love Manaka more, he went with that... It's pretty obvious that Manaka is the fan favorite after all the backbone she showed when her Ex showed up, dropping her after that would result in an Axe very similar to Grapara.

But this "new" author showed everyone how shit needs to be done, to not only please those fans, but everyone else. I respect that!

So, @Cross-21-'s analysis is likely correct that the author originally intended Chisaki to be the FMC but the supporting character Manaka's popularity made it inevitable that the story would shift to pair the MC with her instead.

IMHO, if the author is sticking to the one-shot's core narrative, the story really ought to end with a harem. Otherwise, it wouldn't be an expansion of the one-shot into a manga series but rather just a spin-off because readers from the one-shot thought Chisaki was the FMC.
