Most likely Blacky is somewhat similar to most of the Cthulhu Mythos gods they are neither malevolent nor benevolent they just exist but they are just so powerful and their existence creates chaos and anomaly. And I think Blacky is just doing things that it thinks that will benefit the MC or what the MC wants and would not think whether it's actions are good or evil.

Okay, so I’m going to make a prediction:

We got to see the view of the inside of the old man’s mouth, but as far as I’m aware the only time we’ve seen a similar view it’s been while the MC was talking.

I’m guessing that the “evil spirit” the old man was talking about was Inky (the same spirit helping the MC) and that when we get that view of looking out from the mouth it’s actually Inky’s POV.

All the way back in the 2nd chapter we see that the MC performed a magic ritual where he met Inky and was transferred to the other world so I don’t really think that the MC was killed by the old man and THEN transferred to the other world.

Instead I think that the MC will destroy the skin drum right before he’s attacked, and by destroying the drum it will release Inky who will then protect the MC.

And then the MC will later on do the ritual and the first thing to respond will be Inky (who has either latched on to the MC already or had been keeping a close eye on him).

No, it's Not Inky. It's just some random Evil Spirit.
That Time when MC performed magic Circle summoning is the first time MC meet Inky(in this life).
Inky, is has always been part of MC. His previous selves, just choose to separate ITself into several part.

MC is 『The MIND』(or Soul?)
Inky is『The POWER/HAX/ABILITIES』(what ever you want to call it)
And the last one is 『The BODY』 which is Asleep Somewhere under Nokin(this city).

Also, in the novel it was mentioned that the Tribe suddenly got wiped out in one night by Unknown cause.
Yeah, MC did it, or more like IT did it.
MC as 『The MIND』still have a power within himself, IT just choose to keep it hidden.
MC is like IT avatar or alter ego, so IT want MC to life a human life, that's why MC never notice any thing weird.

At the end of the story MC will remember his past and decide to become ONE again, Inky will fuse with him, and he will return to his Body, and wake up.
