For a moment I feared they were going to chicken out.
Very rushed but at least there was closure instead of an open ending.

A good place to conclude it, I suppose. My favorite was Shimizu trying to make him notice her, and that gimmick got sidelined around the stargazing arc, I think.

Nice read, though I am starting to think I should just be prepared for abrupt sudden endings or axes for any series with the "adaptation" tag

This was fine until the sudden montage timeskip/flash-forward at the end. That felt like they maybe expected one or two more chapters to wrap things up and were denied.

In the end this series was ok, I guess. I'm not a fan of this last chapter basically spelling out "your life improved once you stopped standing out and returned to normal black hair" as if fitting in was the issue and not her overcoming her personal problems, but whatever. I can't expect too much from generic empty calories manga like this.

Very mixed feelings about the manga, I'm not the first person to point out how weird the entire premise is with her dying her hair black. This is far from the only example in manga but it being the entire premise is what rubs me the wrong way.

MC and FMC turned to be extremely generic and not interesting, no memorable moments, no funny chapters.

Extremely mid all the way through.

B- ending. Doesn't ruin the series, brings things to the expected conclusion, we got enough information in the final arc to fill in most of the gaps. But those are some very serious gaps.
MC going full chad with the "Only if its you", that was a great exchange.

I'd give it a B over all. Set up was pretty good, but the central plot was lost there for a while and when revived with the "search out her family" stuff the original set up ("I'm living with a classmate and giving her a glow up and actually fixing her") had to be handwaved away, hard.

But it was frankly over too quick for that to matter, but don't hate myself for reading it, it had some fun moments.

5/10 it was not good but it was not bad.
I'd give it more than that. I've seen much worse endings. Didn't ruin the manga at least.

wonder if it's axe-kun or yet another instance where authors have no idea what to do after the get-together part of a story.
It feels like a bit of both too me. Author was sort of in a corner and the numbers weren't worth trying to save.
