You mean the movie? I think that’s only canon to the anime. To think that after this, PTSD took inspiration from Thanos and snaps Okabe out of existence, forcing Kurisu to have her own arc with time travel. Time is a scary bitch if we really think beyond our limited perspectives of it. Does time not qualify as an Eldritch horror?
I wonder. I mean, it has both a movie told from Kurisu's perspective like this manga, and it has a Drama CD that explains why Suzuha was there (A Aposteriori Existence). In a way, the Drama CD is kinda like Steins;Gate 0 for her.You mean the movie? I think that’s only canon to the anime.
She did the Death Note meme! The older Science Adventures protagonists sure love to reference it, makes sense since it was in their generation."These guys are no good, quickly... Better do something about these guys quickly." (Page 23)
Louise, nice. It would be sick to see Kurisu cosplay as her."You're wrong! Are you stupid? Do you want to die!?" (Page 26)
Maybe it works for other media, but it doesn't for the OG VN.I wonder. I mean, it has both a movie told from Kurisu's perspective like this manga, and it has a Drama CD that explains why Suzuha was there (A Aposteriori Existence). In a way, the Drama CD is kinda like Steins;Gate 0 for her.
Perhaps? Even if it isn't canon or is revoked by the fandom, there's still value that can be gleamed from them, in a similarly vain way as finding gratification from the What-if stories from ReZERO. They're also non-canon, so it shouldn't technically hold any more value than fanfiction if canonicity is the sole metric for a story's worth in a narrative, but if written well, they can serve as nice explorations for both the writers and fanbase who care to engage.Maybe it works for other media, but it doesn't for the OG VN.
I don't disagree with that, I love the movie, I love it as an epilogue for the anime and Kurisu saving Okabe and giving him his first kiss was great. I just don't think it should be used in conversations about the themes or mechanics for the canon material.Perhaps? Let's take this manga for instance: Was Kurisu's perspective this whole time canon or not? If so, yay, but if not, then why read it to the end? I'm not a critic so when I hold the characterization in these in high regard, so I consider them canon because they stick.
Late(?) response, but why not? Hayashi and Matsubara were both involved in the production of the film. That's like disregarding Boruto from the Naruto continuity. I don't read Boruto, but I won't disregard it if brought up in a conversation.I don't disagree with that, I love the movie, I love it as an epilogue for the anime and Kurisu saving Okabe and giving him his first kiss was great.
