Story-wise this won’t ‘fully' go away till we reach the fire kingdom since they on all accounts should still think he’s dead, but seems like it’s on the cusp of changing. I think it’s going to change because 1. We have finally been given a concrete “number” for Univas’ public perception due to the machine. 2. Warswamp should be returning to the capital in-universe-time and can make comments on how great Univas is. And 3. They went out of their way to “make it official... recorded forever in the guild”.
For the first time on the journey, his exploits are going to be witnessed by an official Human organization and directly recorded using something other than word of mouth.
All of his ‘correcting the record’ exploits have happened in small isolated towns and locations, which is why Warswamp is the only high-station person who knows what’s really going on. Don’t forget, the failure of the sea-walking was chalked up to a failure of the priestess, not the involvement of Univas, so that corner of society is still clueless.

This also sets up a secondary development: how will everyone react when the guilds ace spirit user is not only horribly bested, but also has his spirits turn on him and speak the truth? This is speculation on my part until the chapter releases, but I bet that the collars have some kind of “obedience gem” that Univas breaks, then the spirits can speak freely about how much they’ve hated being used as tools and slaves, then both princesses speak up about their experiences and everyone goes into a tizzy. The spirit women are released and work to spread word of Univas among further reaches of the spirit world and the guild has to respond to the massive egg on its face leading to some new story element involving the perception of spirits at large.

I understand what you're trying to lay out, but just becomes something is realistic or can be extrapolated in realistic terms doesn't make it good from a storytelling standpoint.

A "real" slice of life story would be endless chapters of exactly teh same thing where nothing different happens because that's realistic. People with routines go about them for multiple days with little deviation because that's how life is. You don't have something exciting or starkly different happen every day. But you'd never sell a story like that because it would be boring.

Similarly, sure the idea that a bunch of small, mostly loosely connected villages and regions that wouldn't get quick news service would all be ignorant of any of Univas' exploits in the short term is realistic. But telling a story where it's the same cycle repeating over and over and over again on a 3-5 chapter loop is boring and repetitive and makes the story less engaging.

They could've easily had him adventure with Tifon for a bit with 1 village of propaganda-believers that they encounter. Then meet Izumi earlier (since she was already on the vol 1 tank cover in spite of not appearing in the story until volume 4) and do a montage of them repeatedly finding other places that think Univas sucks. Instead of dragging it out for like 5 or 6 repeats over 30 chapters, get that whole thing out of the way in shorter order and then do some of the other village encounters so that maybe a few people in power don't believe that Univas is actually good and capable, but others that live there do. Show the changing tide that way, slowly, with more and more people siding with him as we go along and still encountering resistance, but it being lessened to fewer people and mostly just shifty assholes or rich/powerful/corrupt types that are aligned with the hero or the kingdom's corrupt leadership portions or whoever.

I could forgive the repetition if there was some progress. The problem is that there's almost none until this weird literal numeric value measure pops up to give the writer an easy way to short-hand the improvements without having to show it in the wider story progression.

Adding onto this - even if the overall plot structure of these mini-stories were repeating, we could still use those smaller stories to give details about the world or the characters but instead we get practically nothing. I can only think of one example of each so far: a character detail about the wind spirit princess that she loves to sing and dance but would get embarrassed about it, and a world detail in the form of the exposition dump from the giant whale-like spirit about how spirits essentially have a parental love for humans, and that's why they'll do absolutely anything humans want. Besides those two (and let's be real they're pretty weak all things considered) we know nothing more about the setting or our lead characters than we did at the start.

Off the top of my head, as some easy examples:
Why do spirits love Univas so much? Is it only because he kinda bothers to talk to them and treat them like sapient creatures? Is it the result of his Spirit Charmer ability (remember that from the very first chapter and how it's never been brought up since?) automatically making him more favorable to spirits? If it's the result of his ability how is that narratively any different than the asshat we meet this chapter with literal chains instead of mental ones?
Why was Univas picked to be on the hero's team in the first place? He obviously wasn't chosen because anyone else in the party liked him, was this a decree from the kingdom? If so, why?
What was the Demon King even doing? What role do they (or other demons for that matter) play in the setting? Are they even still around? Are demons just "evil" spirits, or are they some other entity entirely?

I don't mind a more monster-of-the-week style repetitive storytelling, but the readers should still be getting something out of each one!

So that's the unfortunate outcome had the wedding with scum hero and other spirit princess came to realization? By Dura above that's an unfortunate state....

So, who wants to bet that after he loses, the brainwashing's gonna break on the spirit tamer's squad, and they kick his ass harshly?

Probably. And then they'll gush about getting to meet Univas because he's the rockstar of the spirit world. And they'll probably get to go with him but Tifon and Izumi will be jealous and refuse because they don't want other sexy spirit ladies around him.

Honestly, it'd be interesting if it didn't go that way, and the spirits feel bad for their master getting his ass handed to him.
I mean, we've already established that Spirits seem to be into BDSM stuff.
