If that's true that'd actually retroactively make the first less terrible and even a little sympathetic. Lashing out to find excuses why you can't do the thing that'll make you not exist is very human.

Look like the manga is doing a good job adapting the ancestors leaving.
So far the adaptation has been good, so now that we've seen Mr Lyle I'm hyped for the brat, I'm sure manga will make her even funnier.

All of them have to teach him something fully then disappear it seems, after all, them being there eats away Lyle's strengh, he will become stronger the more they go away

sure, that's the premise. i was talking about the tiniest bit of flavor text to go along with it lol
cause we can clearly see the ancestor was surprised that he's disappearing as if god said fuck off lol
if not, then no damage done of course since some of the half-chapters with them just talking were annoying af

I had a sneaking suspicion this would happen. My question now is once the stock of geezers runs out, doesn't that kinda fuck over any of Lyle's kids/grandkids? or do they all magically reset once a new hand touches the beacon descendant is born?

Think there will only be Lyle in there since by then he would have learned all of his predecessor's art, so it would be up to him to pass down theirs and his art as the cycle continue.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the talking with ancestors thing a new phenomenon? So it's probably a cycle that ends and begins every 7th generation.

The sequel confirms it's only going to be Lyle.

They don't really take his strength at all. after his first growth the mana they eat from him becomes so trivial it's never brought up again.
He doesn't get any sort of power up from losing them
