That's the thing about vengeance, in my opinion. Logical thinking (or thinking in general) tends to not be a factor.

I have to wonder if Himari is going to fully write off Kitami in this next chapter. He's so convinced in his righteousness in taking vengeance on all of their bullies, but with Himari wanting to simply leave it all behind...I suspect she'll admonish him here and now, and potentially even condemn him.

Which means Kitami's response will be the crux of the series. If he accepts that he went too far and did it all for himself, and not for Himari...or if he'll strike out at her in his anger, doing something irrevocable and thus proving he was just as "evil" as all those who tormented them.

Though I could also see him "taking the fall" for Himari, saying it was him behind everything—including being behind the Tojo Avatar—so that she doesn't get harmed in the fallout of all of this. It would also make sense from a standpoint of Kitami serving penance to Himari, closing the loop on his vengeance and seeing him face consequences for all that he's done and orchestrated.

It really feels like Kitami isn't planning on coming out the other side of this in one piece. I think he's just fully lost it and is consumed by revenge.
He's basically got a ticking clock on his downfall in the form of Kanzaki waking up from the fall that he knows about, plus the other kids who warned Tojo and Tojo herself could expose him at any time.

I have to assume that if someone is going to follow the obviously fake Social Media Post that "I'm of an illegal age and looking to bang" those who'd go for it would be more motivated by lower numbers (dry heaving noises)

I don't think it matters, we could say it was a TL issue, we can assume Kitami does not give two flying fucks about Kanzaki's birthday and wheter or not it has passed, maybe it was an issue in the OG version too.

Regardless it doesn't really matter at all. I'm of the assumption that Kitami just wrote an age that'd attract frwaksand that the news report using verified facts.

Idk if this is the intention but Tojo's form of revenge is by showing her former classmates that she's able to move on and use it as a fuel to be successful in life. Also like that Tojo hasn't lost the mojo and thought of the consequences that Kitami's revenge plan that will befall not just on her but also on her groupmates. If it affects her and her groupmate's carrer, then this revenge plan ain't worth it.

I do understand the hatred Kitami is feeling, those bullying can scar you for life however we're also seeing how self-destructive this revenge plan is. It's really interesting to see the difference in approach that Tojo and Kitami is taking.

Now now, think of it this way.

Death is quick and easy.

Full body paralysis is if she's unlucky she can live with in misery for 30-40 years (quick google says someone in their twenties has an average life expectancy of 28 years post injury but that most deaths happen in the first 12 months due to being unable to adapt.)

If anything from the perspective of Kitami, her surviving to be crippled is an unexpected win.
