I agree with this, though I'll let myself think that we are presented the world largely as Kunon "sees" it. If he hasn't studied a map himself, it likely wouldn't be presented to us.

I do like the contrast between their basic magic. Kunon can make things that can be touched but not move, whereas the prince makes things that can move but not touched (without injury).
