Over the last few chapters, I've come to accept that Hanabi has done a pretty good amount of penance for her deeds. She's still kind of a bitch and still has a bad attitude, but she definitely has improved greatly since the start.

It's called "lack of creativity": when you don't know what to write (that's what happened in this second volume of the light novel), you end up flanderizing characters, coming up with asspull dramas and misery porn, and your whole work "jumps the shark".
