I am 25 and i think final fantasy 7 was a bit before my time so i never really got into it and am unfamiliar with the story. I started video games with Minecraft, LoL and Titanfall 2 😅. I do however know that mr one-winged-angel is strong, badass and twisted AF. So yeah i can absolutely see how he would be a perfect candidate for this type of power fantasy. In the end its all about leaving a mark you will be remembered by and if possible one that shows you as virtuous.

Welcome back to another chapter of “MC Easily Succeeds At Everything He Tries”

To be fair, he is a mid-boss. Most boss character are very successful right up till they get defeated/die.

So yeah, I'll cut him slack... I mean we have gotten his back story: Right up till that part his daughter and company WRECK HIS SHIT, bro is at the top of his game. His alchemy allows him to make hybrid soldiers that successful fight off the demon attacks during his event. So he is incredibly skilled. Using his game knowledge allows him to really abuse his cracked skills here.

As for the other parts? He is literally known for swordmanship, as he is one of the top fighters in the realm. Bro didnt make Duke as an honorary title.

And in the same vein its shown he is a skilled magic user as well, and he only gets more cracked by using his knowledge of the game to make meta picks and choices.

Overall, I do feel what you mean... but on the other hand he is a mid-level boss character who knows ball about his situation and is abusing that inside track with his boss skills to turn things around.

That said, I think its not going to stay easy street for much longer. The story is jumping off the tracks and events are lining up less and less.
