After the attempt to get cops the Professor knows to help arrest Kazuha ended in failure as Kazuha has pretty much all major cops under her thumb, Uichi declares they got this far and managed to increase their number of allies by a lot, but now they need MORE allies. Enough allies that Kazuha won't be able to bewitch all of them. Enough that the cops won't be able to ignore all of them. So, Futaba rapidly learns to hack and starts spreading a link sharing all of Kazuha's and the Green Leaf Association's misdeeds. Anticipating people would find a mere webpage a little suspicious, they ask the professor to also join in, and he spreads a video insisting it's all true and simultaneously telling them how he was tricked, manipulated into an "affair" and forced to father a child as proof. This gets a lot of people taking it a bit more seriously, though some think it's just a way to explain away his infidelity. Kazuha thinks the Professor's face has become boring, and dumps the idea of going for Yotsuha as it wouldn't matter anymore, but tries to break him all the same with a video of her sobbing and denying the "baseless rumors", only for Uichi to jump in with a video angrily telling people not to believe her and that he's childhood friends with the Professor and Kazuha's child, that she was born with this awful fate to bring pain and misfortune, but she's brought him no end of happiness and he's determined to make her happy in turn. He's so sincere and adamant that most people admit they can't believe he's lying and even want to support the little hero. As always, Kazuha's not so much frustrated or afraid but just confused that things aren't working and disappointed no one's showing her any "lovely" faces. Finally people involved in the murder get together to try once more, raise all kinds of protests, and even the cops have no choice but to give up and reveal the truth. Before long, possibly with some pressure (kind of looks like Futaba pulled some strings, I didn't read THAT close), she's put into a very unique punishment to avoid further manipulations or escapes: only the most trustworthy and levelheaded guards are placed at her cell, where she is kept isolated. They refuse to engage with her at all, and they wear masks or cloth over their faces whenever they have to work with her so that they won't see her face and she won't get to see theirs. Not being able to see any "lovely" faces finally breaks Kazuha, and as she breaks at the realization she finally notices the mirror and the look of despair on her own face, which she finds to be the loveliest face she's seen. Unfortunately, seeing her own despair makes her happy and diminishes the loveliness, so she desperately tries to find ways to make herself even more miserable (such as starving herself).
Meanwhile, after everything's cooled down they finally meet Mitsuha, who is still broken and emotionless, but Yotsuha swears to be by his side and help him recover. Mention is made about the need to work with some of the other people who will suffer in the future, like Yae, but instead of showing how they deal with it they just jump forward to Uichi waking up to Yotsuha having pounced on his bed. To be close to school she again moved in with her brother in high school, and while she talks with Uichi late into the night she's still so desperate to see him as soon as possible that she always just jumps to his window. Looks like everyone is happy now, and as the couple walk to school together they both cheerfully declare "You're my four-leaf clover!"
